Problem wit hthat Box (and again with the new one ;) ) is simple: Most Tracks im driving im almost only using 2-3-4 Gear all the Time. They get a pretty good battering then. But in the End - They should stand that. My Old Cars had no Probs with that also...

Your Dealer can Program the Airbag out, he can Kill the Electric Circle and the Airbag itself with the CLIP Software. This is for sure, did this by myself ;)

Well, the Sadev Box might incredible, but for one thing - getting one of those in the car will not be so easy i would imagine, but thats just thinking, not knowing. What i know is that the Service Intervals of those Sadev's are mental. So nothing for Dailydriving!

I would go for the Engine Mount theory, due to the high movement of the Engine itself when they are knackered it can even lead to the exhaust system moving to much so that in the end the knock comes from the back... sounds weird, but its like that :P
