Any way to mod stock tweeter grilles to fit taller tweeters?

So I got myself a set of 2 speakers and 2 tweeters (Pioneer's plug and play TS-131Q) and went about installing them. Having owned a Megane II before my 200, I knew how hard it is to remove the damn tweeter grilles. However, with the Clio it was even harder. And after I removed them, guess...

    Mysterious N/S knocking noise.

This is interesting. Which bolts did you tighten? Did this completely eliminate the knocking issue?

Is this going to pose a problem? (footwell plastic)

That's good to know. Thanks for the swift reply! :)

Is this going to pose a problem? (footwell plastic)

So after 3 years since I last took care of it, my clutch pedal started squeaking again. Thankfully, the remedy is an easy one, just undo the plastic pedal cover in the footwell and spray (carefully) some silicone lubricant into the clutch assembly and the point where it enters the firewall. So...

Slight knock felt through steering wheel

The weird thing is, there's a correlation between the knock and using the clutch. So something is moving back and forth due to increased tolerances which transfers to the steering rack... This problem has been progressively getting worse these past few months. I'll have to leave the car at a...

    Throttle body noise ??

With the ignition on, the stepper motor inside the throttle body is turned on, producing a characteristic high pitched whine. It's perfectly normal.

Slight knock felt through steering wheel

Interesting. Is your 200 equipped with a keycard or the traditional key? I'm asking because the steering lock is different depending on the configuration. In your case, did the problem go away when the car warmed up?

Slight knock felt through steering wheel

I think this problem is getting worse, its occurring more frequently now. Something is definitely loose up front. An inspection during servicing did not provide evidence of worn engine mounts and/or looseness in the suspension. Despite what the mechanic said, due to my experience with an older...

Slight knock felt through steering wheel

@Crazirob, so did replacing the mounts solve the problem?

Slight knock felt through steering wheel

I've noticed a quirk on my 200 that seems to happen more and more frequently. At very low speeds (i.e. when parking etc.), while turning the steering wheel, sometimes a slight knock can be felt through it. No noise or anything, just a knock felt on the wheel. It seems to be related to...

    Dried tree resin on bonnet

I noticed something weird on my 200 today: a small, perfectly solid 'drop' of material that seems to have bonded with the color layer. I assume its dried resin from a tree (I sometimes have no other option but to park under one). If I had spotted it when it was fresh I could have removed it...

    Rear Camber query

This doesn't really work on the Clio III, there is almost no amount of play and even if you do manage to make a slight adjustment it will be lost after the first few kilometers as the axle gets bumped around...

    Rear Camber query

Having a perfectly straight rear axle is a matter of luck on cars with a torsion beam, like the Clio. This is why the tolerances are so big (half a degree on each side!). On my 200, the rear left wheel has a toe in of 3-5' of a degree (1 degree = 60 minutes) and the right wheel was at 20'. I...

    Mysterious N/S knocking noise.

A hollow knock from the front right at low temperatures is the upper engine mount (also called 'stabilization bar' or something similar). This is normal, most 197s & 200s have this noise, in most cases it goes away when the engine is warmed up. If the noise is always there, then replacing said...

    Mysterious N/S knocking noise.

If that were the case, i.e. if it were a design problem, the noise would be apparent on all 200's. However, from what I've read online, most Clios don't exhibit this noise.

    Mysterious N/S knocking noise.

I've been living with this problem for over a year now. I've posted a description of the problem (along with videos) and my thoughts on it here: http://www.clio197.net/forum/showthread.php?t=5373 Short version: the suspension has been checked by three dealers, the top mount and shock absorber...
