This doesn't really work on the Clio III, there is almost no amount of play and even if you do manage to make a slight adjustment it will be lost after the first few kilometers as the axle gets bumped around...

If that were the case, i.e. if it were a design problem, the noise would be apparent on all 200's. However, from what I've read online, most Clios don't exhibit this noise.
