Yeah totally fair, everyone has preferences of what they prefer.
I just thought I'd ask as 4 years ago hardly anyone had a SCd one, but the kits are getting available and the understanding is better for how far they can be pushed.
Can't really go wrong with either, so will be great
As Craig said, they're pressed into the rear discs for our car, not a "normal" setup as many cars have them like our fronts (separate disc to bearings), why prices are higher compared to other cars where they don't have bearings in them.
Great work as usual Tom, I would love access to a lathe (and I don't also...as i'd end up there all the time haha).
Have you consider true rear coilovers then doing away with the top arm? I run HSDs (came on the car) and they offer a conversion to change to true rears, means you then have...
It's mainly they overheat quickly, so means they can fall off grip wise, of course you can still use them fine and people do, just means you cannot stay out lapping as long, might have to do shorter stints.
I had the lower one on my old one
Then DannyDC2 (after it went via my mate, to his mate, to Danny) then put risers on.
Yes it spent most it's time up in the air in both our ownerships haha
(Small world, we knew each other from years earlier on VDub forum, then he bought my old car lol)
I wouldn't bother with drilled or grooved, the standard Brembo HC are plenty good enough.
I've not used DS1.1 but plenty on here have and rave about them, I have used DS2500 and hate them, they're rubbish in my honest opinion (used on Clio and on some previous cars, same result).
What a lucky miss, it's common to by accident lock onto what you are trying to avoid, it's natural to but you have to try and lock where you want to go (easier said than done in the heat of the moment).
Glad it ended up well all things considered.
What pads and fluid are you currently running...
Thanks Sean, haha don't worry you're not alone, I had the lower GT spoiler (came on the M3 GT) on my last one, I been looking at the one with raisers too....I think it just looks "right" without looking too chavvy (but to many people they'll think "what a chav" haha)
Also please buy another, I...
Thanks, what about the gear knob too? Lol
Ha yeah it's gonna be fun to be out on track, likewise to the SC'd beast!
Thanks Tom, yeah we need more to gain numbers back!
Thanks mate, yeah the reason I bought this, as I missed my old Boston Green one too!
Ha I didn't expect so many people...
Then MOT was due, I know the steering rack is shit, but I have an Purple Tag 067 rack to go in and a solid coupler (to replace the rubber one from factory) on steering column, but it wouldn't fail MOT for this, so all good.
I can confirm it failed....for a bloody headlight aim, he then adjusted...
I bought a 3d printer, so I have been messing about with it doing bits and bobs, I made a cage mounted LED light, as the previous guy took every single light out! (You may have seen it on Adam Thomas' car, I still need to charge him for that lol).
I also been making some Harness Stays, to...
