Don't get me wrong - i'm sure you can do a better job than me, but I work on the rule of diminishing returns, I aim for maximum correction with the least aggressive combination. Oh and there's nothing wrong with DW, you just have to know who to listen to (the likes of the guys from PB...

I wouldn't really class the 197 / 200 as standout RS's imo :S The three that spring to mind for me are the Williams / 172 Cup and 182 Trophy. IMO of course.

Also to add - IMO the key is all in the paintwork prep. LSP adds very little, it just seals in all that hard work. It just adds that extra flake 'pop' and gloss.

I was in this situation after 10 months ownership of the 197. I considered S2000, 350z, 'Prez STi Blobeye (PPP), Focus RS MK1. Ended up with another RS but this time an R26. Couldn't be happier tbh.

Have they stated that they'll be doing a complete refurb in the form of a strip down and paint or powdercoat? If not I suspect it'll be in the form of a 'smart' repair.
