Looks just as bad on here as it does on CS ;)

    People moving on from clio

Lol @ calling the R26 boring compared to a 197 - 200. Also it has much more road presence than my 197 ever had. Tbh.

Renault IV gets its first Tuning Job

As above. A few things annoying me : Headlights too big / fussy RS badge on the front The giant f*ck off Renault Diamond The black splitter under the already fussy front bumper The side skirt extensions The fact they've swapped the pikey calipers for some 6 / 8 pot variants -...

    Bye Bye MK III RS

I agree with the latter. In terms of the chassis and driver feedback - price wise it has no competitors. However, running costs compared to both the 172 cup and 182 (which are more agile due to the lower weight, but less composed) don't justify the lackluster performance imo. Especially...

Bringing out the best in LY

Don't get me wrong - i'm sure you can do a better job than me, but I work on the rule of diminishing returns, I aim for maximum correction with the least aggressive combination. Oh and there's nothing wrong with DW, you just have to know who to listen to (the likes of the guys from PB...

Bringing out the best in LY

I'm fairly confident that my method not only removes swirls, but also refines and corrects the paint : Before : DSC_0112 by DEAF N1NJA, on Flickr After : DSC_0117 by DEAF N1NJA, on Flickr It's not strictly limited to the professionals - us amateurs can do a pretty good job too ;)

    Bye Bye MK III RS

I wouldn't really class the 197 / 200 as standout RS's imo :S The three that spring to mind for me are the Williams / 172 Cup and 182 Trophy. IMO of course.

Bringing out the best in LY

Also to add - IMO the key is all in the paintwork prep. LSP adds very little, it just seals in all that hard work. It just adds that extra flake 'pop' and gloss.

Bringing out the best in LY

A bit crass talking of wax values imo. With the right research, and a look on DW at the offers / group buys / personal sales section, you can pick up DA with something like CG Hexalogic pads and Menz polish for a good price, and you get the satisfaction of doing the work yourself. Oh and i'd...

    Itchy Feet

I was in this situation after 10 months ownership of the 197. I considered S2000, 350z, 'Prez STi Blobeye (PPP), Focus RS MK1. Ended up with another RS but this time an R26. Couldn't be happier tbh.

    Opinions please!!!

Have they stated that they'll be doing a complete refurb in the form of a strip down and paint or powdercoat? If not I suspect it'll be in the form of a 'smart' repair.

    French boost bus correction.

This will be more a progress thread on the correction, as i'm doing it a panel at a time due to time constraints. The aim is for me to achieve the maximum correction with the least aggressive combination possible. So, I started with the bonnet - rinshed, washed, rinsed, Iron X, Tardis and CYC...

    Megane R26

Cheers for that. Over on Meganesport they still seem to think it's 5 years / 72k and follow this accordingly. I'll contact Mick@Diamond Motors and ask him. Yeah, the LSD makes such a difference. A nicer place to be inside too. Mines got CD player and CD changer, rather than the cubby...

Is this the official service schedule? As on the 197 it was at 72k / 5 years?

Not 'that' much difference from the £135 a corner I was paying for ContiSport Contacts for the 197 tbh. Belts service in January too:eek:
