    It all sounds great, except for the gearbox. Most of the time paddles will be great, but there will be those odd moments where you wish for a full manual, and suddenly remember how fun your old 197/200 was... But then again isn't this pretty much what people said when the 197 came along... 'ah...

    yeah there was no.3 for sale, It popped up on autotrader and i rang to place a deposit straight away but apparently it had sold 2 hours before and had been on autotrader for a week but never showed up for me :shout: thats the plan :thumbup: ah cheers anyway

    haha yeah at 60k miles i'd jump at 7.5k! could some kind person please put up a link to the 197/r27 options list? I can't find it anywhere

    It only had 30k miles on it, but yeah it isn't bad at all. I'll try and push this point about not being asked about covering options. Thanks alot people :)

    I'm pretty sure they never asked me what options the car has, they've certainly never suggested this to be the reason why they won't cover it

    the splitter and side skirts, i think they were like £800 factory option. I agree, that's probably a good idea, I'll try that They've offered me £7500 which isn't a bad offer, but considering they haven't included these thing I feel I could get more. (also £1100 excess is a killer)...

    Hey guys, as a few of you may know, my car has sadly been written off and I just got told the revised settlement amount. However, the insurance company is refusing to increase the value based on the colour and a bodykit. I'm not quite sure what to do about it seeing as we all know these things...

    To me, knowing I don't have it would be more of an issue than the practical difference between the two. I like to know my car is as good as it can be. Also, it helps resale.

    cheers willis I have an Arai SK-5 from karting, I think it's strictly speaking only legal for karting use, but are the track day places arsey about that kinda thing?

    Reading this is really making me wanna do a track day! I only bought this car cos I had to quit karting cos of uni, so getting back on track would be awsome. What do you guys do to prep for it? As in tyres, helmets etc etc? It would be great to join you lot on a track day in the summer :)
