    Port maching or not?

You can remove quite a lot of material from the inlet manifold to try and make the engine breathe better. I had the inlet manifold done on my Clio. You won't see much of a power improvement though, if any, as it is so difficult to squeeze extra power out of a F4R engine. But every little bit...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

No, we aren’t putting it back in. It was working earlier this week. Send me your details and I will see what the postage costs are.

    Glacier White 200 Cup

Slow and steady progress is being made stripping the interior. Most of the plastics have come out now. The radio and speakers have now gone. Years ago we spent a small fortune on finding an OEM bluetooth Renault radio and another few hundred quid having its firmware uploaded so it would...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

The Clio has not done much since it came back from the Nurburgring in July. We have both booked on with Open Track for a Brands Hatch evening session on Thursday 7th August 2025 but we are going to leave the Clio at home. @EthanMenace is taking his Megane 250 to test out his new PMS top mounts...

    Why a clio?

This. They are cheap enough to abuse and replace parts. An engine is less than £1,000 if it blows. There is something about driving a slow car fast - or in my case a slow car slow.

    Cliofest 2025

I have always wanted to go but it always seems to fall at the wrong time of year for me with family commitments/holidays etc., etc. Anglesey is a great circuit - even if it does take me longer to get there from Essex than the Nurburgring!

Various pics of my C3RS "Sport Auto Edition"

I tried a stubby aerial and found that whilst it looked a lot better than the OEM one it wasn't very good at receiving a radio signal. For some radio stations which had a weaker signal it was not very good at all. The mk4 Clio shark fin aerial fits on to our cars nicely,

    197 airbag light

Does your car have bucket seats or different seats installed compared to how it rolled out of the factory? The first error looks like a seatbelt issue and the second error suggests that there is something wrong with the front seats and the ECU cannot find the sensor that it is looking for. You...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

I have had some time to look at the video footage of our trip to the Nurburgring now. The car did well, but the hot temperatures did hinder it's performance a little bit. The logs show that when the car was being pushed the intake air temperature was hovering around 50 degrees, the coolant...

    Glacier White 200 Cup

The Nurburgring 2025 trip went really well. We set off on Friday and when we got to the tunnel I realised that I had picked up the Wife's passport instead of mine. Helpfully the Wife drove the passport down to me and we then had an uneventful trip all the way to Nurburg. My two brothers and a...

My Yaris has auto blip built in to it, but that is intelligent enough to know if you are downshifting regardless of whether or not you touch the brake. After a track day I am sure I will work out if I this any good.
