    First Cars!

Yeh I so wanted the MG Metro Turbo, but the insurance was astronomical at the time. So I went for the NA one. What it lacked in power it certainly made up for it in chuckability.

    First Cars!

My first motor was a 1980 Mk1 Fiesta. Three different shades of metallic brown and a radiator patched up with mud. Sold it for a 1985 MG Metro - that car was awesome (well I was 18 at the time! - Man that was twenty years ago :( )

    Dissapointed in Renault...

No surprise there really. Once you've bought the car, little interest is shown in problems. Once it's out of warranty they don't care at all. It might be worth just getting the leather re-trimmed?

    Clio 200 deal advice please

I got a bit skanked on the finance I took out on my 200 I recently bought. Went to sign the the forms and the interest was 17.8% APR, although I only financed £4700. RCI do take the piss with the set up fees (£150) and option to purchase fee (£195 I think) Has anyone got any tips for me on how...

    Selling a 197.....

That's definitely a good offer from the Ford dealership. I got offered £8k from a Saab dealership back in early August for my 57 plate Ultra Red R27, it had xenons and was one owner from new with just under 20,000 miles on the clock. I didn't buy the Saab. Ended up trading it for a 59 plate...

I wonder if they gave the first owner as good a deal as what I got on my car? Hope you're enjoying the car.

    Problem or 'normal'?

If it's still in warranty take it along to a Renault dealer to see if your car has had the ECU update. The car is always going to be a little lumpy when cold, but the remap did help when I had it applied to my old car.

I bet that car originally came from Martin's in Basingstoke? I bought my old Ultra Red R27 from them new, three years ago. This car could've been in the same bulk order that the dealership made?

    help

I got charged £170 for Variant 1s to be fitted to my 200, by Rentech in Portsmouth. Think they charged me around 150/160 when they were fitted to my old R27.

    Stupid Garages

They're bloody well hoping £10k for a car that's been previously written off!!!!

Newbie - Picking up my R27 any day now :D

Nice car. I owned a R27 for just under three years and it never missed a beat and it was amazing hammering it around Cadwell Park, Bedford Autodrome and on a couple of airstrip days in Devon.
