Noticed the timing pull on the hotter days we've had lately, looked at my intake temps and decided a cold air feed would help. Anyone successfully routed a cold air pipe to the standard box? Maybe to where the noise trumpet is (was).

Getting a slight whine from the engine when first started from cold, it goes away after 30secs then is fine, any idea what this is? Having the cambelt done shortly so could be something i add to the list to get replaced/sorted.

Just read and cleared a code on a Vectra C.

I got an ebay fast mode one.Haven't read codes with it yet though as my codes were cleared by a garage so all clear. The wife has an engine light on atm so will try it on hers tomorrow.

Looking at my timing on there as have had a couple of Dephaser related codes in the past. On a straight pull through 1st-4th gear my timing advance ranges from 20° - 58° (with intake temp being 41 - 43°C). Anyone else checked theirs as I have nothing to compare mine to?

Is there any reason we're sticking to whole PI numbers (B500), why not add cage and slicks (like a proper Clio Cup car). Does it matter if we end up at like A524 or whatever?
