This is exactly what I'm thinking.. I've no intention to keep it whatsoever for a long amount of time, but I'll be able to run it maybe for a year then use as a good deposit possibly on a Meg or something similar.

I won't be using it half as much as I have used my Clio in the time I've had it though, literally just 5 miles a day to work, the odd run to blow the cobwebs out.

Am I being a complete numpty if I don't? A part of my just thinks I won't enjoy it as much as the Clio.. another part of me thinks it'll be a more "grown up" and easier car to live with..?

Somewhat reviving an old thread.. How many coats roughly did it take to get the finish you have? Also drying time etc, how long did you leave between coats? Cheers :D

My only critism of the Continental is the wear rate, fantastic grip wet or dry though.

You'd be better off imo buying a new seat or going to a breakers as the value of the standard 197/200 seats isn't a lot to be honest. Renspares sell em when they have them for roughly £1100-1200

This wasn't Renault, I took it to a local garage who are quite reputable down this way. The guy who runs it was an ex Euro Rallycross champion and knows his stuff.

Turns out they couldn't find anything. Recommended an alignment. Mind at rest.

Just dropped the car off.. fingers crossed. Could really be doing without a costly repair at the moment with a full cambelt service and years road tax next month!

Just to add, for a car whats done 42k, are steering racks really that prone to going wrong?
