Don't think its the clutch as I can get reverse ok. and clutch feels fine. I'll phone the dealers tomorrow & get them to collect it & fix it. Its got 9months warrenty left. Glad I bought from a dealer!

Bugger... it's started... on had it for about 700 miles. Popped out last night to get a takeaway, on the way back i changed out of 2nd to go into 3rd & nothing, no gears at all! Managed to coast back onto my drive. Now I can only get reverse gear, although I could get first this afternoon...

I have conti 3's on mine, came with car... can't fault them... like a train on tracks:thumbup: ... am looking to replace mine soon. What are the Bridgestone RE050 like? One website rates them better than the Conti 3s... Is this just cos of speed rating? Anyone tried them?

I have only really driven my Clio on dry roads, but I would also say that it handles 'Like a Train!':thumbup:... I have yet to manage to drive it faster than my angels can fly! Though I have tried! :rolleyes: I'm no expert but, from your pics, it looks like a brake early & power through...

Hi all, I am already starting to feel that my 197 is looking a bit dated from the front! I think it is the front grille... it looks a bit too much like the old Megan! ... not sure what year, but they were usually yellow & convertible!... a while ago! Any one know of any nice replacement...

I am not sure that you are right... I think that you will find that if you crashed your car... your Xenon lights (for example) will be replaced with standard ones... Your car will be replaced to its oridional spec, without options, unless you insure it as such!

Forget the F1 'wiggle' on the front grille... Renault don't do F1 any more!... 200's are already a bit 'pointless & bodjit looking'... the 197 is already a cult! And the paint work is just trying to claw back history... imo.

Ben R1 - Will do mate, I used to organise a few 'green lane runs' with a 4x4 forum... finding some nice twisty & quick road routes shouldn't be a prob. Simon - I do agree... The clio is good for a blast, but I wouldn't want to 'tour' in it (i got mine insted of a bike- more likely to come...

But you can blow them away anyway... The 197 far out-handles the Fk-Ars ST (& a lot of higher powered cars) ...& as you say, most Fk-Ars RS drivers are ponces anyway. Learning to drive better makes you far quicker than any mods (I don't know you, no offence ment)... & certinately quicker than...

Bar-humbug or far-too-smug? I don't recognise any of these complaints about the 197... Mine has only 12k on it and, as far as I know, has not been modified. No worn seats, flaking alloys, 'creaky dash', flat spots... all electrics etc work fine... It is a lovely car!:thumbup: It has...

A couple of nice roads out this way... as you may well know... Althorne to Burnham (The Burnham bends!) & Latchigdon to Bradwell usually do the trick if I fancy a quick blast.:thumbup: Lots of bikes come here in the summer/dry days.

Had mine a few months now... no probs at all, a lovely car. It kangaroos a bit if I drive like a learner... just needs a few more revs & a bit less clutch! Like any car (or bike)... you just need to learn & understand it... I'm working on it. Tho I am starting to wonder if the stearing...
