    Miltek are shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt

I think the Astra Remus is a bit too loud. The Milltek does sound better, but got binned by Vauxhall Performance Centres as the zorst of choice due to the reliability issues.

Were you on the ClioSport stand next to the Nimbus R27? LY looks mint in the sunshine.

    Miltek are shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttt

Lots of VXR owners on an Astra forum I use had issues with Milltek exhausts snapping in half. Most have swapped to Remus ones now, which says lots.

Are you on the sauce tonight? Your ability to type in the English language appears to be increasingly impaired with each post!

    I wish i was dead!!

Hope you told the insurance company about the decals? They'll do anything to get out of a pay out and might have the gall to say the car is modified. GAP insurance is a nonsense on a new car, as the normal insurance company will usually provide a brand new car in the event of a write-off...

Well, I no longer own this great little car. Hopefully the next owner will join up, as it has 197.net window stickers still on it and some flyers tucked in the tyre repair kit!

Who was on the old site then?

About when I joined. Googling Clio 197 brought up the .com site in the results. Had a look around (it was a ghost ship) and spotted a reference to the .net version. Then that disappeared as well!

Only up the road from me. Did you come off at J17 or J18?

No need, matey. I fancied a change anyway after having the Clio for 2 years. It was a long, hard decision as to what car to get next as the Reno is sooo good. The new car most definitely does not corner anything like the 197, but hardly anything does. I could definitely feel the extra weight...

The missus was always screaming at me to slow down, but the Clio's a bit humdrum if you're not in maximum attack mode! Got meself a rolly in the corners Golf so I'll have to take it easy now. She better be happy now! lol

Needed summat a little bigger, plus just fancied a change after 2 years. Tis a young man's car and I'm not young!

I'd say it is quicker off the line, but rolling... possibly not. It's a car you really need to be in the right gear in and it'll take some getting used to after all the diesel's torque. It is more about the bendy bits and that's where you'll leave the Vauxhall tractors trailing in the distance...

I had a Silver Lightning 120 that ended up with the EDS remap with sport button control like the 888. Had one of Andrew's tuning boxes on there at first, but it only did 166 with that on.

We've met then, many years ago at 888, I think. You were only about 15 at the time. Yer dad's was a black one, wasn't it?

Nice exhaust on there for £2719!!

Yup, had that a few times. When you get used to the Clio you'll be going round bends at speeds that would leave an Astra shaped hole in the hedge! Enjoy. You on AON at all, btw?
