    Renault Dealer Recaro Seat Nightmare!

I agree... why are you expected to pay £45 when they have accepted it's a problem and it's under warranty!? I'll be digging my heels in too if my car does this! Rich

    200 with megane engine 262hp

Awesome... I want it and I don't even have my Clio yet! :D

    0-60 times?

Sometimes manuacturers don't try very hard for insurance reasons. i.e. if the Clio 200 could do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, it'll be a bucket load more to insure, pushing it out of the reach of their core market. My current car has a book 0-60 of 6 seconds, but people have got ~5.7 with proper timing...

    Cup suspension

Can't help with experience I'm afriad, still waiting for my car to be built! From memory there was a thread talking about this and the H&R were lower but stiffer and the eibachs weren't much lower but were the same. Whether this was on a CUP'ed car or not, I can't remember :(

    Cup suspension

Can you not just buy some lowering springs? I've seen H&R mentioned on here before, but Eibach have always been excellent (H&R lower a bit more, I think) Rich

    RS side skirts pics

I originally specc'ed them on my car order, but then removed them as I couldn't find any decent pictures or information about them. I was concerned it would look a Halfords special... The sales guy I was dealing with managed to put a huge discount on them as he said they were dealer additions...

    Akrapovic at K-Tec !

My graph point is nothing to do with what figures they made (which is a minimal increase), more that their standard car has a serious flat spot. I agree quality costs, I guess it depends how you measure quality. But then I'd only buy an exhaust that delivered a significant power increase, even...

    Akrapovic at K-Tec !

Someone needs to compare the 'before' map with a board members RR result. I don't remember seeing a big dip in torque around 4k rpm their graph shows - exagerating the improvement. Remember, RR results are iffy at best, let alone when I company is trying to sell stuff on the back of it. I'll...

    A very annoying noise!!

Try using some spray on grease rather than WD40.. WD40 tends to evapourate, which is why your queek is coming back. Rich

    track day car

yeah, MX5 or Nissan 200sx.. something rear wheel drive, light and parts readily available 2nd hand (to keep costs down). I used to have a 20sx and it sent nicely on track, albeit a daily used road car.. Rich

    ecu reset ????????

Well if it was there before the exhaust then take it back to Renualt if under warranty and ask the to fix it. Alternatively, a remap might be able to fix the flat spot caused by fuelling.

    ECU reverting to standard map!?

It's not actually reverting to the old map, it's just the fuelling is being trimmed out of the new map. The fuel trims work by pretty much reading what the lambda is saying (i.e. running rich or lean by measuring the amount of Oxygen in the exhaust gasses) and then tweaking the fuel offset a...

    ecu reset ????????

Is it under warranty still? If so, take it to renualt, they might have an updated fuel map to put on the car. Have you modified the car in any way to introduce the flatspot? Rich

    1.2tce BOV

I wouldn't worry about the haters too much, I learnt nearly everything I know when I was young but trying things out for myself. As you get older, you learn from your mistakes and assume everyone wants to be TOLD the best route, rather than just having a go. Have fun! Rich

    ecu reset ????????

I'm assuming you're trying to wipe the stored fuel trims or something by trying to 'reset it'? The ECU doesn't store anything that needs clearing out, it's not like Windows where you have to reinstall it every couple of years to keep the performance! Rich

    4 year service

If you do track days though, you need more than book servicing to keep it all in tip-top condition.. Rich

    1.2tce BOV

...and on another lighter note, you might want to just remove the existing one completely and blank off the pipe. Instead of a chavvy 'Tsshhhhhhh' when you back off you'll get a cool rally 'brrrrrrrrr' (pigeon noise) when you back off AND between gears. The noise is created by the turbo fins...

    1.2tce BOV

I wouldn't recommend on on a modern car with standard CATs as when they release pressure to the atmosphere they tend to make the car overfuel, that fuel gets thrown into your CAT and can damage it. I tried a variety of different dump valves on my old 200sx and finished up using an uprated...

Remap lost after couple of days???

Imo no. All sprint boosters do is translate your throttle position so its more sensative. I.e. push the throttle 50% and it'll tell the ecu you've pressed it 70%, so effectively the throttle feels more responsive. It's just the same as being more aggressive on the pedal though. Floor it and...
