Has anyone experienced vibration from the ktr cat back exhaust on the metal heat shield, now and again it does it, should I wrap the exhaust to stop it or try something with the heat shield itself.
Any ideas
K-tec said they proved that you don't actually need the extension pipe as the filter will always get enough cold air feed from that side and the shape of the tubing actually decreases you a hp or 2 because of the shape, I trusted there judgment but I still have the pipe
Haha it gurgles every time I change gear, I love it, just a question though, the exhaust when I left was in the middle, the pipes that is and now they seemed to have moved to the right and just taps my diffuser, is this normal and can Move it back
They done long runs as well as flat out and time after time it hit 194 and **** loads of torque. My car was posted on k-tec on Facebook showing what they did
Yeah 194 bhp and like 170 pounds of torque, they said they haven seen that before, that much torque all the way through the range from like 3000 rpm upwards, il take photo of graph tomorrow as I left it in the car
Well change of plans guys, I thought bigger it, I'm having the Maxogen kit, KTR Pro Performance Cat Back Exhaust and remap now tomorrow morning so il keep you posted
Well they are going to run my car first to see what it's putting out with my normal box, itg panel filter and no map.
Then whilst on the rollers they are goin to fit the maxogen, remap it and then see my gains.
I requested for this to be done so I can see the difference, see what happens
They believe 12 to 14 hp gain but I have no idea what mine is at the minute as this is the first car I'm gana have mapped. Il let you know on Thursday.
They seem pretty sure that I will not make a loss with the kit
Looking forward to going to K-tec racing on Thursday as they will be fitting a Maxogen induction kit and Dyno remap, I will post my before and afters when I get back.
Anyone else got a maxogen
Just a note, when I changed the rear lines, the actual location of where they are is on the passenger side under the side skirts, 2 small pipes next to each other as the lines to the calliper are crimped and steel pipes. Just a heads up
