    Braided lines

Please don't hold me to this but I believe not as when I originally had lines fitted they were too long, and the explanation I received was that they were for the Megane (i.e. wrong set delivered).

    197 engine mounts! Help please!

I fitted just the upper torque link and lower engine mount insert and TBH after a few hundred miles I don't even notice vibrations other than on pull away.

Raider - worth the extra price tag?

I think you've made your mind up but 3k part ex against a 13.5k 200 is pants round ankles time.

Raider - worth the extra price tag?

A repaired 200 for £13500. No offence but that is mentallist.

Only just watched this. Class vid. Showing my age it took me right back to 'wish you were here' (google it kiddies). Nice fort work BTW.

Are rear bushes on wishbones listed separately or only the complete arm?

I don't have a parts catalogue but when I enquired a couple of years ago these weren't available separately.

    OE Front brakes

Wouldn't be going anywhere near a garage that quoted such a ridiculous price and then threw 'free' stuff in as a result of questioning. Free stuff that cost them nothing but a short amount of time. What on earth is their labour rate?

Adjustable top mounts for Clio 200

I and others on here are using top mounts supplied by simoxmino (member here based in Italy). Just look at other threads in this section on the same subject and you will find the info required. Suitable for the older style mount I believe.

Red 200 at Evans Halshaw, Gateshead.

totally different cars. my mate has an octavia vrs that I've driven and I also own a fabia vrs. if it's for slogging up and down motorways then I'd pick the octavia or fabia. In comparison to the clio the octavia has the turn in and handling of the titanic. horses for courses - meaningless...

Bilstein B14 or KW v1 On Clio 200

Have just had the b14s fitted along with adjustable top mounts, the castor adjustable powerflex rear bush and engine mount inserts. Have done one trackday on them and 2 or 3 backroad outings. I think these are a good option for people like me who don't want the adjustability as they're...

Perfect car but belts not done... Advice please!

In reality it is highly improbable that the belt would go twang just after buying. If everything was okay with the car and how it drives etc. I really wouldn't worry about it, and get it done soon after purchase.

Spring Rates & Damper Rebound - Rid me of this dreadful 200 Cup suspension

p.s. if you find the cup suspension bad I would think about non cup set up rather than aftermarket. In my experience I have never had an aftermarket kit that softened things up on any of the cars I've owned.

Spring Rates & Damper Rebound - Rid me of this dreadful 200 Cup suspension

More right foot and tell passengers to duck! How many miles on the car? I know what you mean about the suspension on very rough undulating poorly surfaced B roads but TBH I think it is generally awesome elsewhere.

    What's my 197 worth?

px depends very much on what you are paying for the new car and how. If the new car is 1k overpriced then they can offer you a seemingly good px naturally. So comparing px prices is pretty meaningless.

    Powerflex bushes & engine mounts

@CallorFold @Yiannis197 - no downsides to just fitting the torque arm and lower engine mount inserts then and leaving the upper mount standard? Have had these for ages and they are going on next week. If I can get most of the benefits with the torque arm and lower engine inserts whilst...

    What's my 197 worth?

I have both a set of 197 alloys painted black (track wheels at the mo) and a set of 200 alloys in black. Depending on the wear on the tyres I'd consider a p/x with cash your way if you did decide to sell the wheels? Have a full set of Conti SC5s with a few mils on that could come with the...

Brakes - Fast road and track set ups...IN HERE.

Carbotech very good option for track and road use. Just about finished with a set of XP8s and about to try a set of XP10s which are a little more aggressive. Wear rate extremely good. Fine on road. Better cold bite than standard with much better stopping power. They will squeal though. Not...
