Rightyo, I did say that surely the flexi is there for a reason.

The car is going in on monday to have the flexi replaced with new fexi or if they have too, solid piping, its not going to be perfect but will last till i can afford a complete exhaust, as long as it gets though the MOT.

I shouted far less at the telly during this episode. Bit dull, suppose that's a good thing.

Mine has definitely gone, can see what I think is the hole, definitely can hear it and smell the exhaust gases with the bonnet open. The MOT is up on the 14th and have no idea if it will pass as is, is there anything I can do to tide it over and get it though? Friendly MOT tester near Blackpool?

Tdc was at fault. The dealership even fixed a blown bulb for free. Has unearthed a new problem, exhaust flexi is blowing, time for a new thread... A combo of this, the tdc sensor and coil packs = one very rough 197

Getting the car back tonight. They think they have got to the route of the problem. A sensor on the gearbox the reads the engine speed was misreading the speed, sometimes down to '0'. (?) Hope that makes sense as me and my sausage fingers aren't to technical. Arnold Clark Blackpool have just...

Got the coils for £64 and the sparks for £30. Original Renault ones so hoping they come prepared gapped.

Good news! and nout to do with a little dacia... RUK are paying £150 towards the bill..... ... and after doing a lot of digging about I have finally got hold of someone at whats left of the Co-op Motor Group. They are writing me a cheque for the £348 to pay for the repair. Sooo fingers...
