I just use the same wax as the rest of the car.

    Wax Query

Good waxes can be used everywhere. At the Swissvax demo he put it over rubber, pastic, glass and paint.

    Wheel detailing

I use concours on the wheels cos it means one tub that's all. It lasts quite well, not as long as on the body but not bad. Not washed it since my trackday so should be interesting to see if it's stopped the dust bonding.

Having a play with AF Rejuvenate and Wolf's Body Wrap - pink Astra SXI

I wanna do a really old red car. By far the best for before and after shots, better even than black.

    Help!!! Tar removal

Not used tar remover either but I think I might start. Clay does get rid but there are parts of the car that get so much tar the clay gets saturated very quickly. Always clay after using tar remover and never use it unless you are waxing afterwards.

    Wheel detailing

Its not good for the money. £ for £ raceglaze is much better, in fact most maguires products are better. I have used their clay, lube, sour power, rainforest rub and lime prime. With each one I could name half a dozen products that are similar priced and better. You have come on here and...

The Quest For Power (lets mass-debate)

    Wheel detailing

People seem to forget billberry is a budget product. £9 for a litre vs £20 for 650ml for Zymol. It's good stuff IMO but it's not the best out there like some people think. I wonder how many people who say billberry is best have even tried Zymol, swissvax and cough! Dildo juice.

Zymol wheel cleaner and Zymol Concours and I have got raiders so much harder to keep nice.

whats best alloy cleaner to use?

If wonder wheels won't get it off billberry certainly won't. Billberry is good, not because it gets rid of grime but because it does it without harsh chemicals. Best way to keep nice wheels is wax them and use a nice safe cleaner. I wax mine with Zymol concours and clean with Zymol wheel cleaner.

have money to spend but on what?

If you want a real improvement fit some semi slicks. £400 on a set of hankook rs2s will improve braking, acceleration and cornering. Then some money on tuition.

    Ordered some cleaning stuff!

That's probably the worst technique I have seen. Leathering dry after only a snowfoam?? You may as well use a brillo pad!! Snow foam is only a pre wash, it gets rid if some of the dirt without touching with a sponge/mitt so as to help reduce swirls. You need to wash it too. Preferably with 2...

    nanolex shampoo

Dunno really but worth trying other stuff. Although I'm not sure I need a wash to add protection. I'd rather have one that leaves the wax alone but gets rid of the dirt and then use my field glaze to top up the finish. I do think when it comes to car products 1 product should do 1 job.

    nanolex shampoo

Sour power is not good at all! What is much better for similar money is race glaze auto bathe.

    nanolex shampoo

Looks interesting. Cheaper than Zymol or swisswax too. Might give it a go when I next run out.

    how do you tell?!

No cups nor cup packs until after the R27 in 2007. If it's an 06 it's a full fat. It will also have the really short gearbox too.
