So i went for another rolling road at the weekend, at the same rollers. It came out at 170.3 bhp at the wheels, and 147 lbft at the wheels. Not sure on exact transmission loss but im pleased with the result.

I think all clutches are different, you'll never have 2 that feel the same. So long as it hasn't started slipping I would have thought it will be ok.

Mine felt a bit like that before Christmas, took it to Renault and they reckon there was nothing up with it.

I got my car back last night, I found exactly what the problem was as well. The cam de-phaser, for those that don't know its what makes the VVT work, had a spur of metal on it which was catching on the cam and stoping it from moving the Valve crossover period. This meant the VVT hasn't been...

Mines constantly been around 24/25 mpg, but if anyone has seen my thread lately you'll no my engine has been rather poorly, its being fixed today so when i get it back and it actually has some power then maybe i won't have to be so flat footed, maybe i'll actually get some decent mpg.

No unfortunatly had some other issues which needed sorting and ran out of time.

I'll have a look when i do it, but i think only 1 will adjust and the other will be a fixed position. The hook is the hoop at the top of the bumper i would have thought.

I have noticed the rattle coming from the dash, it seems to dissapear when it warms up. I also have a rattle coming from the boot so may try moving the hook and also greasing it this weekend. You've gotta love french build quality.

My car has gone into renault to have some warranty work done this morning. So i mentioned that i'd had it rolling roaded and how low the power was. So they are going to run a diagnostics on it to see if anythings not working properly. I'll post the results when they tell me.

Yer thats not to far at all, are they renault specialists or do they just heave a good knowledge of a lot of cars? I might have to make a trip up there if you think it might be worth it.

Where abouts is TDF? That would be good as mine was the 1st 197 they had, had on their rollers. I just really want to find whats causing this its bugging me so much.

My plan for Saturday morning is to put the standard airbox back on and reset the ecu, and then hopefully the next weekend i'll be able to get on the rollers. I'm based in Hertfordshire.
