No I complained to customer services that my black speedlines came with grey centre caps (as they all do) and they agreed to pay for black ones so I swapped the part numbers of the standard black centre caps to the 265 ones :D

    Spongie/long travel brake pedal.

Hi all just a little advice on your brakes. Have had two 197's in this week with real bad braking efficiency/Spongie pedal. If you start to develop these kind of problems chances are your front pads have become seized. The brembo's really do need to be looked after to avoid having to shell...

I couldn't agree more. I can't comment for the quality of work at other Renault dealers as it would seem judging from most peoples experiances it's poor but we will always do our very best to make sure you recive the best wuality of work. Dealing with the service receptionists is what I would...

    Preventative Maintenance

To be fair it's a poor design and should be sorted as it's so common. The ones in the focus rs come with leather bolsters so I don't see why Renault can't do the same

He serviced it himself and forgot to put them back ;) First thing we did was remove pins and pads and give them a good coating in copper grease. There's no way I'm paying for pins even at discounted prices lol

    Preventative Maintenance

Lmao anal trauma!!! Good shout on cleaning the brakes out bit of copper grease on the sides of the pad (not the friction material) keeps them moving freely as well

    Preventative Maintenance

Keep your skuttle panel free from leaves and other crap as it blocks the drain tubes and causes the skuttle to flood. We always clean off the wheel hubs and put a thin layer of copper grease on them to stop the wheels corroding to the hub and being a pain to get off. The renaultsport wheels are...

Yeah mines the storm grey one :). And it's no problem at all. Nothing worse than doing brakes and the pins being seized hopefully it will save you the cost of new ones in the future. I will get some photos up once it's cleaned because it looks a mess at the mo lol

Just got the car back from its first service

Exactly, I carried out the work on this car. The leak was actually from the exhaust cam seal. I also removed the front calliper pins cleaned and lubricated them which is not part of the service but owning a 200 I know they're a bitch later in the cars life. Not all Renault dealerships are the...
