You can buy Ethernet wireless adaptors for bugger on eBay. Or get a cheap old wireless router put it in adhoc (bridged) mode and use that. I've used both methods for cheap wireless access on a 360 :)
Personally I would wait until you've taken the car past 15-20k before getting the map.
I've done many miles in a 197 and a 200 and everyone who has done similar miles says they loosen up loads. The figures on the dyno's are proof, they do not make their claimed power until after that second...
Found the side lights. Not sure what to do about the fogs...shame I can't just replace em with some white bulbs rather than the LED's which are expensive and illegal..
I have 6k projector xenons upgraded in my 200 but the fogs and second bulbs in the main highlight look yellow. I'd like to get these changed to a nice ice white but need to find a decent supplier who can supply the bulbs or if anyone knows the bulbs I need I'd appreciate some advice!
Thanks :)
That's because you're right, it won't feel strongest until 20k plus. At that point drop the oil and filter, get it on a dyno and have it custom remapped. You will then have it at the best it's going to get.
That's what I'm planning to do :)
You may also want to get your tracking and tyre pressures checked. The tracking on the Clio 200 gets constantly knocked out by pot holes and the result is loss of power, rumbling from the engine mounts when pulling away and understeering.
I have to get mine done a least every 4 weeks.
Ignore the lack of power for now as it needs a lot of miles to run the engine in properly.
Mine's done 18k on 99RON and is very quick.
My 197 did 36k and was rapid.
It takes at least 15k before the engine loosens up properly. The exhaust note improves a lot aswell and becomes louder and...
I have driven over 250,000 road miles in a Clio 172 Sport, 172 Cup, R27 and 200.
I've never drive them on a track but have pushed all of these cars on B roads and IMO the 200 is much better than any other previous models.
Renault have always face lifted the Clio and Megane and it has always worked well to improve the current model. The Megane always gets the latest design which then later follow on with the Clio.
The next Clio will still be N/A 2ltr but will be made with lighter and stronger materials (like the...
I've owned an R27 and a 200 and believe me there are a lot of differences.
The way the 200 drives is far better, the way it looks is not much different.
To be honest I base my judgement on looks on what people say to me when I pull up in petrol stations drive around town. Based on glaring looks and comments I'm really confident it's a stunning looking car :)
Xenon's is a big fail but I upgraded to 8k HID's in 200 projectors :)
