Best fast road pad for £100

I'll be back again to tackle the pins, only had a quick go at them today to see if I could get them out. But once I saw how seized they were I left it for another day. I've got a tin of plus gas which has never let me down so far when trying to release seized parts, so i'll give that a go. I...

Best fast road pad for £100

Oh I see, well the pads i've picked up for £30 are still Mintex pads. Not like some completely unknown pads. I bargained that it'd take me a few hours to change the front pads properly, I knew it wasn't going to be too easy, I had my wire brushes and drill attachments to tackle all the dirt...

Best fast road pad for £100

Thanks, i'll look into those. OEM pads i'm getting today for £29, Goodridge hoses are £50 from demon tweeks and ATE super blue fluid is £30 for 2 litres. Hopefully won't be paying labour unless I can't get these seized in pins out. Got an EZ bleeder so was hoping bleeding brakes would be...

Best fast road pad for £100

Well it seems difficult to choose pads from recommendations, because everyone seems to have either OEM or DS2500 on here. I'm sure there is decent upgraded pads out there for £100 but nobodies tried them. So I either take a gamble on some EBC yellowstuffs or similar for around £100, or go for...

    Ferodo DS2500 pads all round

Had a quick look and the 197/200 isn't listed. Guess you rang up to get a price? Thats probably for rear pads. If not - Send me a link!

Best fast road pad for £100

My brakes are in a bad state at the moment, not been serviced in a long time and looking at how bad the standard pads are seized, I think its pretty likely the pads are bent and the material is probably cracked. So i'm gona change the pads - But to what? I know the DS2500 come thoroughly...

Coolant temp. Where should the needle be?

How easy is it to access the thermostat? Not really looked for it yet but if its easy I might switch mine to a 182 stat too

    front calipers

haha Yer that guide might come handy to me soon. I should get my pins soon so think i'll get the old pins out, remove the pads and clean all the rust off the backing piece. Completely clean the caliper of all crud too then put them back together with some copper grease and see how I get on...

    Exhaust tips?

I went for these after seeing them on a thread on here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-Pipe-Tips-PAIR-Aluminium-Twin-Universal-Rolled-Edge-Trims-Free-1st-Post-/190920785602?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AClio%7CCars+Type%3A2.0+16V+Sport&hash=item2c73c3fec2 You just remove...

    front calipers

I don't want to know when it was last done on my car! Embarrassing to have my brakes in such a mess - But in my defense i've only had the car a couple of months and this was the first time i'd had the wheels off. Surprisingly they brakes still seem to work fine, plenty of power and feel, but...

    front calipers

I've also just ordered some new pins from mrpink. After swapping my wheels the other day to put my new Oz ultraleggera's on I had a quick look at my brakes and it wouldn't surprise me if they've not been touched since they last had the pads changed. WARNING - THE FOLLOWING IMAGES MAY BE...

Coolant temp. Where should the needle be?

Mine sits slightly below where yours is there. I did wonder because most videos I watch of these cars the needle is on the third line.

New Mtec HIDS and LED sidelights

Oh I see, I just saw 100w on the box and thought that was the wattage. If they're still standard 55w then they should be fine. You won't get much whiter without going for a proper HID kit.

New Mtec HIDS and LED sidelights

The sidelights are fine, but I'd probably get rid of those headlight bulbs bulbs to be honest. They're not a true HID bulb, just high powered Halogen bulbs with a blue tint on the glass to make them look whiter. A proper HID will come as a kit with 2 bulbs, wiring and ballast's too and the...

    Finally HID on my 200

To be honest i'm mainly doing it for looks, but how has the vision improved?

Value of my used Raider wheel and/or tyres

My raider wheels are suffering from a bit of lacquer peeling, nothing major but it makes them look at little tatty as the unlacquered areas seem to attract dust and they constantly look dirty. So i'm looking getting them refurbed and powdercoated anthracite. For this on a same day drive in/out...

    197 Cup Steering Wheel

Just did a quick search for 'mk3 clio steering wheel' and theres plenty to be had. Theres used ones for under £100 but they may already be worn. New ones seem to be around £150...

    Finally HID on my 200

Those look great, I literally just ordered my 5k HID kit from HID's direct. Glad I went for 5k as the colour of yours look spot on. Now you just need some matching LED sidelights :thumbup1:

    Caliper Colour Opinions.

I thinking the same myself, my cars Albi blue and i'm gona get the wheels done in anthracite in the new year and thinking the callipers could do with some brightening up. I do like the Cup look, but think yellow would be nice but don't want anything luminous bright! Maybe gold would look good?
