How do you suck out fuel from your own tank?

Just get a bit of pipe long enough, decent diameter around 10mm internal. Pop it down the filler neck and push it through till it stops. Then you wana hold the other end low down, and suck on the pipe until fuel almost reaches the end, then quickly take your mouth off it before you drink a...

Car booked in at rs tuning

Well rolling road tuning is quite a lot of thrashing for the car, and if its got oil in it that's due a change, it'd be best to get it done first. Also there's the fact that old oil can sap power slightly too.

    She's running a bit warm

Mines the same, usually sits about 1/4 and only goes up to half if im thrashing it/sat in traffic or in hot weather. Out of interest, approx where on the gauge do peoples fans come on? Because I see people saying their cars sit at 1/2 on the gauge, but with mine, when it gets to just above...

    Dreaded MOT

I've read the ball joint can be replaced but they're hard to come by. Also it may need to be pressed into the arm, im not sure how its held. For the exhaust, bear in mind there are 2 cats on these cars. One in the manifold, another in the exhaust, then a centre silencer before the backbox...

Mpg sorry for all the questions guys

People are getting some pretty impressive figures here! Never dropping below 31mpg! To be honest I think I could drive a lot more economically when cruising/commuting, I just don't really think about it. For example at 30mph the car is quite happy to cruise in 6th at about 1500rpm, but i'll be...

Xbox Live Gold Help / Question

Next time if you want to renew, shop around a bit and you can get it for around £30 a year. Also keep an eye on the renewal if you dont want to pay again. Once they have your card details, they'll usually keep taking membership money once the first years is up. This also means they usually...

    197 Servicing around Manchester?

Ahh yeah forgot about SC, hes only 20 mins from me! I'll get a price from him. Birchdown looks good but their an hour from me so a bit far. I'm unsure about what servicing itself would do to the cars value tbh. As an example say I keep the car for another 3 years, by which point it'd be on...

Just had quotes from my local MOT place. Full Service which includes: Oil/filter, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs. Then take all wheels off, check car over, clean/adjust brakes, grease moving parts where required and do tyre pressures. Thats £180 inc VAT. Interim Service includes...

    197 Servicing around Manchester?

Cars due a service, its on about 82k so as far as I know its just an oil and filter change and it had the big 72k service before I bought it. Could do it myself but my car has perfect and very thorough service history, so I need to continue this trend really. The cars always gone to either...

    How much would you charge?

Sounds like you'd be putting a days work in. Id want £150 really but if they're good mates, £100. As above though, professional rates will be MUCH more than this, i.e. a few hundred a day.

    Swapping heat shield between diffusers?

Was it that Zircoflex stuff you used James? Blimey - £50 for a 550 x 450mm sheet! I only paid £45 for the replacement diffuser. Probably worthwhile when you've spent over £500 on a carbon diffuser, but for my purpose I think i'll stick to the standard one

    Swapping heat shield between diffusers?

Cheers, though thats what it looked like. Not really thought of this, never seen what the standard head shields like to be honest. Is this stuff pricey? I'll look into it now

Behold the practicality of a Clio

Glad im not the only one that thought this haha! Yeah same, I put mine n my mates MTB in mine pretty easily too. I just take the front wheel off. Although I might start removing the rear too so I don't get any muck on the back of my seats. ;/ Thanks! The spoiler is a decent addition...
