I've looked into this and fitted the sensor to my Mum's new Twingo as that didn't come with one either. It's on the drivers side mirror on hers but there is no wiring in the 'door loom' for it to connect to. Having spoken to Renault, they think the wiring might be present on the car side, but...

It's the same tailgate, cars with the GT spoiler fitted at the factory have two extra mounting holes for the spoiler to attach. Those that retro-fit it will need to drill these fixing holes into their tailgate - and that's why alot of people don't bother, could create problems with...

Surely you shouldn't need to be bleeding the brakes of a 60 plate car?? If anything I'd be taking it back to the dealers for investigation.

If Renault chose to add them to the 200, I'm sure a new F1 blade would be asy to retro-fit with the DRL's already installed ;)

Just a note - the 197 and 200 have different bonnets, they're not interchangeable ;)

Ok well mine is - Wheel to wheel arch, approx 55mm Tarmac to underside of sill, 200mm These are almost identical on both sides, and car has roughly a quarter of a tank of fuel in. Road isn't 100% level, but it's pretty close.

I'll measure mine too, never got round to it last weekend.

It would ruin the handling for 99% of British roads, I think that'd be more the issue Mark. On track it'd be epic, on the road, not so.

I think the noise is the heatshield rattling against the exhaust mate. Is it before/after a drive you notice it?

I remember this happening, such a waste! Glad it's finally reached a conclusion. RIP Gav.
