title says it all parked my 197 up in the garage went to it in the morrning and now not starting cranks over but not fireing up :panic: recoverd to my work checked the tdc sensor and swaped with knowen good sensor no luck only fault code was driver speed sensor p0500.removed pipe to fuel rail...

ok just had a little read off this thread i have just passed my MOT licance to test and spoke to the vosa rep. asking what the fail criteria is for these aftermarket hid kits he said "they will only fail if there is headlight washers fited but do not work,if there is a self leveling sensor fited...

checked the sensor by useing an osiliscope and taping the engine block next to the sensor and found the readings all over the place and wouldnt settle so yip sensor is faulty!bought a new sensor and fitted it the fault cleared no prob.i found the car was running a bit better after this aswell.

static fault knock sensor.unable to clear the fault says open/short circut.didnt have time to have a look at the live running data.but visualy checkd the wireing going to the sensor an all look ok no chaffing.

yip some off them are there otheres were when we took the track cars to crail for a little kicking haha

had a slight fault with my 197 yesterday like a flat spot when cold:thumbdown: wouldnt rev up so i have checked on my works diagnostic and there is a fault stored with the knock sensor is this a comon fault with the 197s?

i had squeacky brakes on the rear turnd out the pads were sticking in the calliper they were low as well so replaced them and its all good now!

iam fitting one to my car as i hit a rabbit at ehrm high speed and broke mine if you get the splitter from renault it comes with brackets and instructions but you have to buy the bonding material seprate the part no is in the instructions but looks kind of tricky as the bumper/spliter get...

had this problem to i striped and cleaned what a diffrence it made watch the pins on the front as mine were seized in with the paint off the calliper haha

Just the way to set off my xmass my car got vandalised in glenrothes just b4 xmass my rear wiper arm was broken an no plates stolen why people do things like that is beyond beleve!phoned the police and got told that they prob wont catch them!so anoyed as the wiper arm costs £40 from renault...
