Far too much hassle with the cage surely? Think you answered your own question there :) Dash strips definitely though, especially if you've got spares lying around :D

Could you not get a very dark anthracite...charcoal maybe? If not I vote for gloss black but then I am biased, even if they are a pain to keep looking nice!
