Ive had this done for awhile now and ive never had an issue with the flatspot. Its really not that hard to avoid it, i mean you have 7.5k to play with so why are you going full throttle at 2k anyway? Maybe its just me and coming from carb'd cars and learning not to mash the throttle at 1k but...

After taking my clio to Smiths renault in peterborough for an MOT the other week im going to try my best not to go back purely because i know some **** had taken it out and thrashed the **** out of it. Why does a car need a road test after MOT???? and they washed it when i didnt want it washing.

2 new cables from renault cost me £54 so not too pricey

Had the same issue. Fitted new handbrake cables and serviced the rear calipers and its not been stuck since :)

Ive mentioned this before, when on overrun rest your foot on the throttle and it will pop and bang. No need to spend money on a special map. It is just a waste of petrol though.

Just an update. 2 new handbrake cables fitted today, looking at the old ones they were letting in water and rusting and abit stiff. Also cleaned the pads and caliper and copper greased. Should hopefully solve the getting stuck problem.

Brakes need to be maintained. Mine had frozen this morning and i had to get a lift into work. Day off friday so ican clean and grease up.

If you kill a gearbox in 10,000 miles you must be driving it like you stole all the time. Mechanical sympathy goes a long way. Im on 71,000 miles and still on the original box
