What’s up with my airbox? Was it glued together or something? Lol I ordered a replacement but apparently it’s for another RS Clio as it didn’t match in size. I’ll post another picture in a second of the wrong one.

As mentioned, it’s different from this in the Clio. I know what you’re talking about- my E36 had a secondary air pump that does something very similar. I believe it pumps more air in order to better burn fuel at start up. Either way, that was deleted as is this acoustic valve : )

Overfilling would cause that? I thought all of this is enclosed and hemmed in. Does it basically slosh to the point it hits where the gasket is and leaks that way? I don’t understand. I thought it would just mess with the harmonics of the crankshaft.

So this overfill should be causing motor oil to leak but that leakage looked much too dark to be motor oil. Is it gear oil? I don’t know. Maybe I’m overthinking it. I think what I’ll do is empty the oil out in a new oil pan/container and then put 5 quarts in. Then I’ll monitor it. I’m pretty...

Right on- just what I did. I cleaned the area up really well right after adding the new oil. Then the next day (today) I saw some leakage. I cleaned it again earlier and will wait till tomorrow to see what seepage awaits me. Hopefully nothing. Thanks for the advice Rowe.
