    New civic type r

I reckon they look the muts nuts. If my golf gets replaced so far that would be leading the race. But thats in a few years. Its the first honda I've seen and thought, "yes, I want that". But I haven't seen one on the road yet, only in a dealer showroom I walked past.

    ktr exhaust manifold

If you're not sure, the toyosport manifold + remap would cost about the same as the manifold from ktec alone. Then you'd have no flat spot and it would drive better with the remap. Even if there isn't a noticeable flat spot it would ideally still want remapping.

    Tyre question

You won't even notice the difference on the speedo. My old 106 had 13"s but I fitted 14" rallye steels and it was almost the same the speedo will probably be about 1 or 2 mph out at 100 mph max, I tested the difference on my 106 using the sat nav speedo for comparison and I could barely tell.

Hello From Birmingham need some types and paint info

It's called french racing blue (as we have British racing green, german racing white, Italian racing red, etc.)Depends on how the car has been treated, as mine wasn't happy. Lots of owners is a bad sign with these, have a good look through the service history, check the cambelt has been changed...

    AMD remap and flatspot advice

Hmmm, to me that sounds optimistic. For either 200. Never say never.

    AMD remap and flatspot advice

Using a rolling road to remap a car isn't as simple as before and after. They will do a run, see where in the Rev range it's Good and bad, they will tweak the bad bits then they'll do another run and then tweak the new bad bits. They will do this over and over again, the bad bits become less and...

    AMD remap and flatspot advice

If your car is going on a rolling road and mapping it that way then they should be able to sort it out as that is the method used for custom remaps, if not then it will be a map thats already been created and just loading it onto your car (this method is only suitable if the your car is the same...

    Another 197 gearbox issue!

These have a cable linkage don't they? I know cable linkages can be a pain to get just right (my dads kitcar has one with the civic type r engine gearbox, took ages to get the cables mounted in the right position.

    Cat back remap

Remapping improved my car but mine had none of the original exhaust remaining. As Jimmy says do it when you've done what you are going to do. Otherwise it would want doing again if you decide to go further with the engine/exhaust/induction setup.

Brembo rs3 caliper on the new edc

Though on my 197 I always thought that the brakes were brilliant, could stop in an instant but still extremely progressive with very good feel, especially with the ds2500 pads. I know it's not a fair comparison but my golf has sliding calipers and can stop just as well as the clio but with less...

    R27 - DRL - Anyone have installed a set?

I have always driven everywhere with the headlights on. New cars may need drls but if it didn't need them. When it was new, it doesn't need them now. All cars after 93 I think it was had to have a cat but earlier cars didn't need one fitting. A copper could pull you up for having main Beam on...

    Wheel spacers and handling

Your best off doing the same front to back keep the wheels in the same place in relation to each other, but you'd need to be niki lauda to notice. I had 20mm all round. If you can tell the difference on the road then their will be a funeral soon, (your going dangerously fast, no matter if you're...

Crank position sensor caused that issue on my car, though a dodgy flywheel knackered it up.

My mum thought mine were spot on. My step mum hated the whole car, not just the recaros though. They are strange creatures.
