If youve JUST adjusted them statically after first fitment, then they will sag as the suspension joints and springs settle. Best thing is to set it slightly over the mark, take it for a good spin, then re-adjust.

Have you got access to CW scales? Thats the only real way to get anywhere close with RH, but on a FWD closed-wheel car it can be fun!

They dont recomend "new pistons". Obviously piston:valve clearance has to be sufficient...that doesnt mean new pistons though, there are various ways of increasing this.

Anyone got any pics of the 197 subframe/wishbone set-up?? Can be on the car, off the car, anything that shows general layout and orientation. Same for the rear beam/hub/brake assembly. Thanks :)

I can offer a lightening service on the oem flywheels. I've got a couple STD 197 flys kicking about, so can do it on an exchange service. Torque is unaffected and so is drivability.... I know people say about hills blah blah but I've yet to experience that first hand and I've built many engines...

An air entrance on the front grill isn't going to do much in the way of improving airflow to a filter, if anything. High velocity low pressure air at the entrance will become turbulent around the edge and therefore reduce flow. Having a diffuser on the lower edge of the front bumper ala btcc...

Oil gets thinner when hot, and seen as it acts as violent for the gearbox, in extreme temp situations it can get quite thin leading to tight gear selection. The solution would be a more thermally stable synthetic oil. Also the clutch can have issues fully disengaging and drag, since the fingers...

Not strictly true, depends how you set lift at tdc. As for difference, I can only comment on Catcams being a catcams dealer, but they are ground from drop forged billets and have a two week heat treatment programe. Hence they are a quality bit of kit.
