    Hello

Thats a varied list. IMO the Audi isn't a car that fairs well on any track, I assume you're on about the MK1 TT. The early 2000 one. I'd ditch that in favour of a Meg 225. Much better handling than the Audi. Corsa VXR I actually quite like but not as much as I like the 197/200. They don't...

    Identifying gearbox code

I have a 200 box, came out of my car, it's perfect. I've had to change it as mine getting converted. The box is in Milton Keynes at Beaniesport just sitting there not doing anything. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

Stuff that really doesnt float my boat

People that end sentences "so yeah....." "So Yeah" what?? Finish up. The recent #sponsership tagging on facebook. An "ambassador" for a such and such.....just makes you look desperate tbh. Jamie Oliver for for the demise of turkey twizzlers, I still haven't forgiven him for that one.

    dump valve ?

I thought that was what the different springs were for. Larger spring stays open longer and dumps all the air, the tighter spring releases a little before closing quickly and only giving the air the only route back into the turbo. It's not what they're designed for, but it's what you can achieve

    Is a 197/200 quicker than a Pug 208 Gti?

On paper, no. Slower 0-60 times, slower top speed, so if you want to do traffic light grand prix' then stick with what you have. If you like track driving or b roads blasts then get the 200, it will keep up with my higher powered cars due to the handling. You can really throw these into corners.

Anybody got a spare 31 grand?

Makes me feel ill with the amount of cars I've had that I should've kept, S2 RS Turbos mostly. It does amaze me what people pay for nostalgia. £10k for something thats 27 years old, the same amount of power as a current 5 door family car and wasn't actually that good.

    Speeding

It's just another way of bringing in revenue. Motorists are such easy targets. The % of income could be confusing. I know someone who's basic is 16k but took home 120k with commission, so what would he pay? £2500 or £369, he's a self employed Mortgage advisor. The limits should be raised...

Black 'Look' Roof - Advice Please

Love the gloss black roof. Maybe next on the shopping list but I'm certainly not doing it myself. I don't have enough patience. If it doesn't go on 1st time with no air bubbles, It'll end up being thrown across the street whilst I sit indoors with a sulk on

How did you choose your Clio

Bought a new Seat Ibiza, kept it a year, took it back to dealer to part ex it in for a Cupra R. I use to work at the dealership, they had taken the 200 part ex in for a Leon Cupra R, so salesman threw me the keys and said have fun. I did and I bought it. 1 owner, full RSH from the local...

Where's the cost go doing the meg conversion

That's decent power anyway. There are times when it becomes completely pointless having a boat load of power that you can't use, like everyday on public roads. It's nice to have it but whats the point. At best, its a sprint to 70mph. I've been caught speeding already so I have the fear.

Where's the cost go doing the meg conversion

I agree, I never wanted to compromise on reliability. It's not my daily but I still didn't want a hack job. My build just changed over time and 99% of the time it was because of someone else mess up which is why the cost went out of control. It was always always going to be rebuilt because I...

The Supernatural Thread (Ghosts n' that)

You should try Pluckley next time. It's only down the road from Smarden, most haunted village in England. They do camp outs in the screaming woods. I'm not man enough for that!

    Bloody spiffing idea

Greta idea but surely they don't need to provide tools. The cost of a basic set is minimal these days. Enough to do brakes and an oil change anyway. I'd soon get feed up of replacing 10mm spanners that always go walkabout

Where's the cost go doing the meg conversion

This is what I figured. I had a low mileage Clio 200 and a Megane 225 with 100,000 miles on it. That'll never do. Engine was sent away and machined. Its now fully rebuilt with new forged parts. Anything that came off was replaced with new items. Turbo binned for a new 250 turbo...
