I have started the slow process to install a V6 airbox. I have ordered a battery relocation kit from @RSRowe and his www.duct3d.co.uk website. Nathan is going to send me a bit more cable to get the battery in to the boot rather than just the back of the car. I am going to buy an Odyssey PC680 and see if the battery will work in the Clio that is used about two times a week. The PC680 might not have a high enough CCA rating, and if so I will have to buy the bigger PC950 battery later.

I have been looking around for the cheapest way to get all of the V6 airbox parts. RPD stock the airbox and it costs about £180 - but it does not come with the elbow, the mounting plate, or any of the clips and ancillary parts. AP Motorsport sell the complete package but it is about £440. I am content to pay AP Motorsport for the complete kit but if anyone else knows where I can get the complete kit for a better price please let me know.

I got the plate from Weeder motorsport (they’re called no7 motorsport now I think). It doesn’t fit the best, but it’s better than nowt.
The elbows are cheap direct from R-Sport and also from abroad

I have the pc680 and it’ll be fine imo. Mine only gets used about twice a month but I’m pretty sure twice a week won’t be an issue.
Could always get a trickle charger rather than buy another new battery

I’ve not really tested mine. Just always seems a bit lazy starting.
Hasn’t failed me yet though :tearsofjoy:

I have ordered the V6 elbow and two clips for the elbow for £40 including delivery from R Sport

Thanks for the tip off about R Sport @RSRowe and @suj I think you have probably saved me about £200.

Oh nice, did you email? Are you getting the box itself from them as well?

What’s your plan regarding air feed? From what I have seen the options are:

- Leave it behind the light
- Feed from fog light
- Mount upside down and feed from bumper
- Racer style with no front arch liner..

Yes. I emailed them yesterday and they replied today.

I was going to get the box from RPD for £180. I guess R Sport will do the box for the same price.

I was intending to get the box in and use the default position of it sucking in air from behind the light. If there is room I might try and sort out a cold air feed with some ducting.

I did see the concept of mounting the box upside down and getting cold air in straight from the right hand side of the bumper. I will see what I can do when I have got all of the parts.

The boxes seem to work fine in the ‘normal’ orientation. Not entirely sure how given there’s like 0 room behind the headlight

All the parts have been ordered for the v6 airbox and battery relocation. So far the elbow and hose clips have turned up. The battery relocation kit is in transit as is the mounting plate from No. 7 Motorsport. I managed to find a PC680 battery for £100 including delivery from the Battery Group. I have ordered the v6 airbox from RPD.

Hopefully all the parts will arrive in time for the airbox to go in before Bedford on 25th October 2021.
