As the title says I’m very close to k20’ing my Clio.

A new performance garage local to me has put in plans to build a kit and has offered me a conversion as a reasonable rate!

Any one here gone down the route?

half tempted to buy a cheap 197 rather than doing it on my 200 but we will see :smile:
 
I’ve heard a mixed bag about those mounts!

Am going to see what this other new company is bringing out... just to be a little different aswell. Speaking to the developer lots of work has gone the mounts to make sure they are v strong
 
Seems a good idea but how much is the drivetrain as I know EP3s are climbing in price.
 
Update:

Managed to pick up a Type R for a reasonable price.

Engine is now out of the Clio - gutted as its had the gearbox redone professionally and serviced and only on 71k miles.

Type R engine will be coming out this weekend, tuning company is getting clutch lines made!
 
They seem to be listed for decent money on eBay.
The gearbox would definitely sell well with it being done recently.
 
Lots of people are chucking them in twingos nowadays too. The likes of beaniesport often buy the 197/200 engines for the twingo conversions

I have a 5 minute video of it running / revving up the range to prove how strong it was for people interested

Ill probably get it up for sale once I’m a tad further with the conversion as it’s still early days

Looks like I’ll have to use TYPE R clocks but I guess they don’t look too bad!

you could speak to racing circuits. I believe they have successfully integrated the whole lot to the Clio equipment.
