Been looking around for steering wheels and things.

Found a new genuine Renault one with red stitching for 599,00 zł which is polish złoty.

When I convert Polish złoty of 599,00 I get £115

Can you really buy a spanking new unused genuine item for £115 or an missing something. ?Screenshot 2021-02-19 at 15.51.39.png

I would imagine there's postage and maybe import tax post-brexit on top but it's not impossible. I remember a few years ago someone on here bought a set of brand new oz ultraleggera from a Czech site for around £800.

As for me I like the original steering wheel I hate that they melt as well as the thumb grips on the 172 steering wheel I would be happy to retrim a wheel except for the following factors which are, the retrim ones look and are fatter and no one seems to be able to recreate the original zigzag stich as for me the red leather band is not as good. I did pick up up a brand new steering wheel a couple of years ago for £175 out of Germany and it's still in the box as I got one retrimmed as thin as possible and the red band embroidered I even bought a nearly new 2009 Clio GT steering wheel which is the same as the 197/200 wheel and I was going to hand stich the zigzag but ended up selling the steering wheel for a guy with a Clio cup 197. Below is the new wheel and the GT wheel with Eddies wheel in the background I brought back from England for him.

The Embroidered stich was not as robust as I hoped but the retrim cost £90 so I thought was good enough by a place in Ballymena
