Big Bens non Clio

Was just checking out your cage - looks perfect! Is this a JP half cage with 'unstripped non-weld mounting' fitting? i assume the non-weld still requires drilling on the front bars. I think my goal is a similar 'clubsport' spec, yours is looking awesome.

Thanks! Yes non weld unstripped. Fixes to the iso fix points at rear but does get drilled and bolted through floor at front. Spreader plate and seam sealer underneath and jobs a goodun

Donington 31/10/20 update:
Conditions were rough! Strong gusting winds and heavy downpours made for tricky conditions. No excuse for the amount of knobheads out there though. Without doubt the worst standard of driving I’ve seen from a trackday group. Counted 10 possibly 11 red flags by 11:30. “Drive to the conditions” over the tannoy was being ignored and off somebody went again. Frustrating
The marshalling at the pit exit lane left a fair bit to be be desired as well. 3 abreast down the straight in standing water and the marshalls waving people onto the circuit! Time and again there were close calls. So with this, the conditions, the crap driving standards and seeing an M5 being written off right in front of me I called it a day at lunchtime. Not my finest day out but the cars in one piece so I’ll go again when Boris allows.
Good to see some forum faces on the day. You know who you are

Bit poor that. Javelin have always been pretty stern with knobs when I’ve done their days.
Least the pics look good.

That sounds proper shit, but good on you calling it a day, as it's so easy to "try and get money's worth" and that is when problems happens.

Car looks great as usual, I looked the other day at how it started Ben, it's come a long way!

Always liked the look of these but never fancied cutting the centre console to make it fit. That’s gone out the window now as I took the plunge on Black Friday as they had a cheeky discount going!
Probably fitted in the new year as moving house next week takes priority.
Booked Cadwell for 28th Feb with beany. Looking forward to the new shifter position

Makes a massive difference, it transforms the shift, you won’t be disappointed

Been quiet of late what with house move and lockdown.

Finally got my zeropointone shifter fitted. Really happy with the look and how it transforms the shift. Gearbox now tight and precise and the height of shifter makes a positive difference to the driving experience.
