Starting on my R27 F1

Hi, just picked this up as a run around. I love cars so I can’t leave them alone!

I’ve had it 1 month and so far I’ve fitted a KTM induction kit which I’m pleased with. Will delete resonator box tomorrow and have ordered silicon and hard to go all the way to the front scoop.

KTM induction and resonator delete complete. Without the resonator delete the induction was a little false and quite boomy. The delete has quitened it down and it now has a more realistic growl.IMG-0572.jpgIMG-0574.jpgIMG-0668.jpg

The wheel bolts are rusty as you can imagine and I wanted a wider stance so went about fitting KTR spacers and new bolts. Of course some one gunned the damn nuts on and two of the locking wheels nuts had to be smashed off. Then the front wheels were stuck on the hubs so they needed persuading. The end result though is a nicer stance, rid of the rust and when I need to get the wheels off next time it will take me less than half a day. I used copper slip to be doubly sure (wheels will be replaced at a later date) - these are nearly 20 Kilo's a piece all in!IMG-0687.jpgIMG-0687.jpgIMG-0695.jpgIMG-0696.jpgIMG-0701.jpgIMG-0702.jpgIMG-0708.jpgIMG-0712.jpg

So at the weekend I took out the front seatbelts that I have now sent off to be replaced for yellow versions. Here’s one pics. I couldn’t find any how to remove the seat belt rail on this forum (doesn’t mean to say it’s not here) but it’s so easy when you know how. First belt took 40 mins, second belt 5 mins.08D404F7-98F5-45E0-B5D9-7B61F0BFAB96.jpeg

Ok so steering wheel came off (thanks to the great amount of info on here) in less than 10 mins, no problem. Has trouble with the airbag lights, looks like the resistors were not in far enough. And the horn was a pain in the xxx. Anyhow all good now and im pleased. F931E353-F623-4510-9409-470BC152FB67.jpegD20036BF-FCD0-48CD-A706-68EEE30D9264.jpegF425A00F-C105-4060-8405-5D67DF790566.jpeg

These just arrived 30 mins ago. Just popped the back ones in mounted only with the speaker screws for now. Need to drill pilot holes for fastening and I’m upgrading the speakers anyhow. Look good to me.C91CA5FA-5DAB-46AE-91D9-AA38A36645B2.jpeg164C632D-A02B-43B5-8A91-0C222E824A81.jpegEC84D4C7-EB5C-4786-B11B-7FD59F27BE94.jpeg43BF8734-33DA-46BA-A471-F1C971B88366.jpeg6BA93CD9-123A-4739-A896-7C6869CF5F40.jpeg
