Side skirts-are there screws or aren’t there?

I’m just killing a bit of my days faffing with the car and thought about removing the side skirts to clean behind. Now I know there are half a dozen torx head tappers on the underside but I’ve read somewhere before that there could be a couple under the Renault ali kick trim. If that’s the case I’m not going to bother as i know it will never come off without damaging it.
The suggestion is also that there are some clips, are these the type that break as soon as you look at them

Mine were fixed by torx screws, I removed them to clean behind, and never put them back.

sorry to be a pain but when you say torx screws underneath do you mean just on the underside of the sill or under the kick plate badge. If it was just on the underside of the sill, once you’d taken the screws out how did you get the sill off, it still seems well fastened

Here you go I would use with care a heat gun to soften the glue holding the kick plate so you don't bend it removing it go slow with minimum pressure you could thread teeth floss under the plate to cut through the double sided tape like removing car badges remember the skirt is plastic don't melt it. You can see where the plastic plugs are on the panel do not pull up or down on the panel or you will break the brackets off the skirt good luck. I would get some of the plastic spuds before starting as they can break the clips below are for the door strips but I think they are the same so best of luck.

I’m OCD with my cleaning but you’d need to be a brave man to attempt that or have money aside to replace parts.

The correct way is to remove the kick plate badge where you will find two fixing lugs, there are also three plugs that you need to prise off (near the back wheel) in addition to all the screws on the underside. The kick plate will be damaged on removal, you will need to order a new one.
if you just want to clean underneath the panel just unscrew all the bottom screws and you will find this will allow enough access for cleaning.
