06 nimbus 197 daily track toy

New map sensor turned up today which i'm happy about however my superglued one seemed to be working very well yesterday..

had an brilliant day on Sunday and good to see a few faces @Beany @Big Ben but when the dry line came out the track was brilliant bar a few knobs (tt driver) and feel sorry for the guy in the 182 who ended up on its side at the bottom of craners.

pics a videos to follow as normal.

Didn’t notice a Clio on its side. Heard about one snapping it’s aux belt

That's well keen up against the bollard :tearsofjoy:

There's 5 of us heading down on the 23rd. Can't wait to get the car back out

Had a day off today sadly most of my tools are at a pals whilst I'm stripping his car but never the less still managed to do this..

I started to test fit my grill with intention of using a non damaged one but it looked so good I kept it on..

Didn't realise there would be so much cutting and making other things fit..

I used a mud flap to get the desired effect..

And also decided to take @trackspec197 route and shave some bits off..

Then it all went back together 20191119_130216.jpg

Ready for a clean and my winter wheels..

Love the look of that grill mate. What was it you used the mudflap for?

I've been toying with cutting the legs off of my rad support and giving it a coat of hammerite to chop the rusty bits off!

Just to channel the airflow into the feed some more if not it was just like this through the grill

How much was that Carl? Been looking at getting one myself but I'm tight :grimacing:

well Ive been given it for stripping my pals 172 I think there about £200

What’s the difference between that and a more common race battery?

And im not to sure. I think stuff liek odyssey are Lead acid ones which are Gel like most bike ones so they can be mounted ont the side but this one is a Lithium one so much stronger and last longer and much lighter.

Can you clear one doubt for me?
The battery label states 48Wh, which for a 12V battery means it's a 4Ah battery. Will it have enought cranking currant to start the car? And how fast will it discharge if you're not running the engine?
In mine I have a generic gel one with 16Ah and it's not hard to be on the low side of charge if the car is parked for over 1 month. Given that one has 4 times less capacity I would keep an open eye on the subject.

EDIT: It's 84 and not 48, so that makes it a 7Ah, almost double, but still low compared to what is usually seen in the automotive applications
