Think they all get out of shape over time. Take the glovebox out and stick some anti rattle tape under where the lock connects. It maybe too far gone though if the light switch is not turning off.

Your mission if you choose to accept it is to take a heat gun I take no responsibility for anyone setting fire or destroying the glovebox or car or carpet if you sent the heat gun down when hot, remember the inside and outside plastic are separate so you need to apply heat alternatively without burning it until the plastic allows you to add more curve to it the hold it there until it cools off job done. It's the same if you want the wheel centres to grip more, heat them so you can adjust the tang outward to get more grip the allow it to cool so it stays there.
