I loved the front splitter on your Clio and that exhaust! When Terry brought your car inside I thought it sounded superb.I'm over the moon with the wheel, although it'll take a little getting used to for sure. I've just finished trimming the steering insert so that it would fit. It doesn't look out of place which is the thing I was most worried about but a quick look after Terry finished convinced me I made the right decision. I'm sure you can tell from this thread taking pictures isn't my strong suit but i've taken one anyway!
It's not a RS monitor one mate. The Renault part would normally display track data when the standard headunit was in the car. Since the aftermarket unit was installed, it's always had Renault displayed.

Interesting, might have to do a bit of part number digging then.
My basic 200 one showed nothing but time and temp, unless the Radio was on and then it of course does all that stuff.
Now I've replaced my clock unit with a Satnav top I've of course removed the standard clock piece, and having no means to control the radio I've also removed that (not that I could hear it above the car anyway lol!).
But my 200 clock top is way too bland to just install where the radio was I think, however one like yours might just go in the radio slot and look half decent! :\
Ideally I'd like an RS Monitor one in there...

I reckon the clock in the radio blank would look awesome! The clocks on the Clios are complicated in terms of them being different sizes and display outputs being different, and on top of that there's different headunits too! Yep it's hard to know with Renault! But I reckon it's 197's that have the larger font display from what I can tell.
Anyway the RS Monitor idea won't work as I've realised that the clock time is adjusted via the BT headunit and not a pair of buttons
So I'll probably just grab the cheapest spare I can off eBay to cut up for the plug, and also try and source that part of a dash loom. This way I can just make a short p'n'p loom extension for it
I much prefer doing stuff knowing the car could be reverted to stock at any point with no 'destructive' mods etc, even though quite clearly this thing will never go stock again!

Nothing as of yet mate, i've just been enjoying it! I've got another sim card which will be put in the LG, just in case I can't use the mobile hotspot on my iphone for whatever reason. Good idea to have a backup. One problem that i've come across is after extended use the velcro can come off from the housing.
This is because of the excessive heat from the phone (something which the LG G3 is known for) however after separating the two pieces of velcro, simply putting the ones back on the housing works. The glue eventually hardens again. It's made me think twice about fixing the glovebox with some velcro that's for sure! However despite the heat problem the phone stays stuck firmly and not once have I had any issues with it coming loose which is good.
I'm already planning V2.0 which will do away with the velcro altogether and look much more professional/OEM however it's not a priority at this moment in time, but I will be sure to post back with any updates on the current one and V2.0

Well not the most timely update but here it is! Version 2.0 is up and running.
Kept it nice and simple this time, phone slides in and out (so no dodgy velcro) and have also integrated a wireless charger. Using an iPhone 8 Plus which is the perfect size.
Apologies for the poor pics, the phone with the decent camera was in use

Had this fitted recently and got my favourite app running and a few others (as it's an android based OS). Had a few teething issues which i'm working through fixing so hope to get these eliminated and get a write up on here.

Slightly less OEM this time around as the screen is bigger than the last one but still better than the giant tablets that seem to be stuck on the dash in newer cars IMO. Wireless CarPlay works a treat and a there’s already a charging cable in the glovebox to stop the battery dying on longer journeys.
Plans are to get all the little niggles sorted and then move onto the next phase which is a program that looks like the optional RS monitor in the facelift 200s/Meg MK3s, but with more parameters being displayed (around 6) with actual sensors.

Sure! It’s a Raspberry Pi system running OpenAuto Pro. You will definitely need at a minimum basic Linux experience or a willingness to learn in order to make the most of it.
