How to remove Powerflex upper engine mount insert?

Thanks! I took the bolts out last night but couldn't pull it off (although I was using torchlight!) . The colours I mentioned are printed writing on the cover. It names various colours. Just checking it wasn't referencing a mount insert.
Hopefully have it sorted tonight.

It's going to take some work to get them out, so just be persistent.

Oh didn't even see the text on it, god knows what that is about, maybe colours refer to different engines on renaults systems in some way, so you get the correct mount / stiffness for your intended use.

I hate to sound like a broken record. But this definitely comes off right? I don't need to jack the engine up or anything? It's not budging!

Morning update, I've jacked the engine up slightly and it's made no difference. I can't get the long bolt back into the engine case, so I can't drive the car now. I'm pretty screwed!

when i did mine i had removed the torque mount as well, maybe try unbolting that from the engine as it might give you some room to get it free

Appreciate the reply thanks, seriously no idea why it won't come off. Borrowing a crow bar, so yeah we'll see! Frustrated I can't even get it back on either.

So remove this, then get a jack (with some wood or something on the jack, so you don't damage the sump!)
Then you will need to jack it a bit at a time to get the bolt in.
If you cannot get the mount off, just try and get it back in and get it to a garage, you don't want it to get worse if you're not confident in doing it.

Cheers, worth a go with the torque mount off. It's already jacked up (with wood on the jack) on the sump. Hopefully I can get the screw back in worst case so I can get it to a mechanics.

Ok, lesson to anyone wanting to remove the upper engine mount. Take the torque mount off first!!! Torque mount off, 3 bolts loosened on the engine case and the engine mount came right off. Let's hope the Toyo manifold doesn't knock now then!!

I'm glad you sorted it mate.
I think with powerflex torque mount and lower dogbone you shouldn't get knocking, some people have had to cut a bit of the subframe where it knocks.
