Michelin Cup tyre pressures - what are you running?

Hi Folks,

I have the following tyres, used only for Track Days, on Cup alloys:

Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 215/45 R17 Y (91)

Quick question: (assume you have the same tyres) What tyre pressures are you running?

I’m just taking the tyres off. Loads of pick up from the last track day (...) and notice some graining on the rears.

Cheers

No experience with cup 2's but on the Pilot Sport Cups (1) i used to run i was running somewhere around 30-32 hot and played it by how the car felt on the day. Aim for the same sort of pressures with my AD08R's now but again see how the car feels when out on track.

Thanks Sean. I’ll start with those 30-32 psi. [emoji106]

You should aim for 32-36psi hot. I think I ran 26 on the front and 30 on the rear cold on my last track day. Do a session, check the pressures and adjust your cold pressures accordingly  don’t let them go above 36psi

Thanks Gents,
I took the wheels off today. The edges looked decent but loads of pickup. Tried to scrub them but the marbles are like goo on the tyres...
At Combe in a couple of weeks so will experiment.
Keep you posted [emoji106]

BTW - you seen the Michelin Track Connect app? €400 approx for TPMS and some groovy data in the app?
