Wheel wheel colour for Nimbus Cup

I recently picked up a 2009 197 Cup in nimbus with black wheels that are in major need of a refurb.

My aim is to try turn the car into a really mint example of a stock 197.

My question is what colour should I do the wheels when they get repainted?

I don't normally like black wheels as they sort of hide the design and blend in with the tyre so I was thinking a anthracite grey. Otherwise I guess I would redo them in a gloss black.

What's your guys opinion?

The speedlines were originally a satin black, I wouldn't go gloss as they never look clean. The std cup wheels are anthracite. I had anthracite on my Cup. I'm thinking of going bronze but need to see some pics but anthracite is a favourite, I feel thd same about thd wheels being lost with satin black.

They look smart mate.

As said the Speedlines you have came standard in black so if you were after originality then they should have stayed black.

Had some with Blue as mine had blue when I bought it!

Just seen your profile pic, did you buy it from Kidderminster?

Yeah I did, from a garage I wouldn't return to if you paid me!

OK, thanks for the tip! Don't actually know where they are, just seen a few cars advertised by them. Only lived here a couple of years.

I have a set of Speedlines I hope to paint std Renault silver after seeing this photo, but I am having trouble finding someone to paint the true Renault 197 colours Silver or Anthracite I thought Renault silver would be easy and no-one produces power coat that colour I have had a set of R26 Megane wheels for two years and a brand new R26 Anthracite wheel to help match the colour with brand new Anthracite centres to match. I'm in Northern Ireland and I've just done my last run back and forward to England for this year but talking to a guy in Derby says no problem he can paint them no problem I think Derby Alloys he is a bike nut and I talked to him at Donnington and again at Brands Hatch has anyone used them don't worry you can be honest I don't mind.

I've done a few wheel colour changes on my phone, if anyone is wondering what looks good on nimbus grey.

I've recently bought a set of 197 wheels which I'm going to refurb myself, I've started sanding them down but it's taking longer than I thought as there's a shit load of paint and primer on them.
Will be refurbing the red ones on my car too but unsure whether to keep them red or change those.
The wheels I bought are black atm.
These are what they looked like
