Scorpion Catback to Decat need some help :)

Hey all again I’ve currently got a non res cat back system in which is Scorpion.

Looking around I can see that part number SRNC023
Is the cat replacement, is this all there is to it or am I missing something, I gather this will replace the current cat and join just after the flexi’s underneath?

A quick note on the EM light/Emissions can it be permanently removed via programming or will it always come back on?

I’m yet to get a remap so wondering if the car will run funny without the cat until map is done also :worried:?

My eml light isn’t on with secondary decat, and yes just bolts on the same way as the cat would (sleeves to centre section)
Hit and miss whether you get a flat spot, I have a very slight one but it’s barely noticeable and no worse than when I had a non res standard exhaust (silencer removed)
And you learn to drive around the flat spot if that makes sense because it’s only at very low revs in 3rd gear and above. Hope this helps!

Yeah I already have a minor flat spot so I’m hoping the decat wont make it to much worse.

Tried the MAF fix and didn’t do much for me but might be the silicon didn’t seal as well as I thought it would!

Anyone know if you can still do track days with the secondary cat gone or is it deemed to loud in dB?

They are loud, but I suppose it all depends on the track really, I’m planning a ring trip and for example there it’s a 129db drive by compared to as low as 95db static at some uk track. At a guess I’d say definitely over 100db static but someone may have had theirs tested so will be better to comment. Can get a decent dB meter for around £20 I think
 
I’ve got a decat and res scorpion system on mine and not had any issues and ran at Bedford which is known for low noise levels.

Static at 5k rpm is 88db & think 5.5k rpm is about 92db
 
Hello. The catback scopion resonned decat is noisy. Vibration in the car...
It is better than milltek resonned cat back..
