My RS('S)

That’s what he said

Cooler, solution then causes another problem so as long as it’s not thrashed on track & I keep an eye on the monitor it should be fine

It’s still early days so we’ll see, I didn’t think at day 14 if ownership & a map was gonna happen [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

240, I’ll stick the graph up in the morning

Nice. Mine made 241.6 with panel filter and FMIC. Quite a difference between the Mk4’s it seems, some making 250+
I saw coolant temps hit 114 degrees on track in the summer, bloody nightmare! That’s why I bought the rad.

That’s pretty hot [emoji3062]

If it made any difference, just a panel filter,

205.1 - 239.8

That's pretty much what I'd expect it to gain. Might need a bit more running in as it's pretty low miles IIRC? Mine was running 198 but that was down to a fault code. Once Paul cleared it, it made 215 before the final map. Just numbers at the end of the day, how it drives is what really matters. Are you pleased with it?

Exactly, it hit 5k earlier

Well chuffed with it, it goes like a stabbed rat now

The tone of the Akra is now a bit deeper after Saturday

I’ll be even more pleased when I get rid of the perfume smell off the drivers seat belt [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

That footrest is great, best £25 I ever spent!
Have you tried plastering yourself in Old Spice to overwhelm the lady scent?

It makes the driving position so much better

Not yet, I might leave it to soak at the weekend while the braided lines, fluid & stud kits fitted, if the weather holds

It was his own lady scent that he wears he was trying to get rid of  lol

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji6]

I also treated the leather with Gliptone leather conditioner, that smells pretty odd

Try soaking the seat belt in wash liquid (like persil, fairy, woolite) and leaving it dipped in a bucket in the footwell for a few hours.

Then uncoil it all (like your photo shows anyway) to air it.
Push your seat forward, and plug the drivers belt into the rear seat buckle :smirk:
It will extend your belt without have to wrap it round your steering wheel if its still damp.

I did this to my winter daily, the drivers belt was filthy and greasy, I uncoiled it and left the bucket in the rear footwell.
I came up like new, and smells really nice. Once the woolite smell died off it was just neutral.

PS nice gains from the RS tuning remap.

I had one done by Paul years ago on my 172 ph2. :sunglasses:
Would like to have one done on my Mk3 200.

I normally unbolt the bottom section & leave them to soak in a bucket

They are torqued up loads

A bigger wrench should help [emoji123]

Nah I got the bolt out no problem, I just couldn't wiggle the bracket out of the hole in bodywork.
It got done anyway, might sort passenger seatbelt out in due course, though its not really dirty, but I'll try harder to get the bottom rail out

Pretty good day yesterday, making the most of the nice weather [emoji274]

Never really been one for badges but the new style RS badge does look pretty good

I don’t think the nuts had been taken out since it was built, they weren’t exactly tight [emoji15]

& I had to knock the front wheels off with a lump hammer & a block of wood, they wouldn’t budge no matter what we tried. Ok now, all rust removed & greased up

Brake fluid flushed with RBF600. For some reason the Hel lines I bought from Ktec wouldn’t tighten up against the shims, there was a 2-3mm rattle, front & rear, so I refitted the originals. It’s as if the female ends is to long. Luckily, I also bought them through eBay so they are wrapped ready to send back tomorrow
