Front bumper 'RS Badge' fitment

One for the 200 folks, I'm not sure how correct I am on this so please let me know if I'm wrong but from what I've heard the front badge is only on 2010+, is this right? I only ask because everyone else seems to have the bolt/screw and 'hook' clip to hold the badge on so it doesn't fall off where mine doesn't have this (2009) and it's not held on well, one small tap and it's off in the engine bay again which isn't fun trying to retrieve!

This is correct. It was part of a pair of badges - if you have the new style rs boot badge you will have the front one also.
Your front bumper will have a recess in it to sit the rs badge, if the front bumper where the badge goes is flat and smooth you never had one.

I thought that was the case, but this is where I'm at a loss. I have the old style rear badge and have the front badge with the mounting bracket on the front so it's definitely not retrofit. It also has no sign of it ever been clamped or screwed on!

Anyone else have some ideas to help me uncover this mystery?

I’ve retrofitted the front RS, but I can’t say whether it came with it
Or if the rear was old or new style!

So I’m not sure why I’m commenting....

Hahaha, what year was it and if it was 2009 did it have the mounting bracket out of interest?

Early ‘10
It was more of a ‘tab’ and a ‘gap’
So to speak

Yeah mines the same kind of idea, nowhere for screws or clamps to attach onto, I can only assume mine was either one of the first to get the badge which seems weird with the old rear badge or its a replacement bumper, but even that doesn't make sense since there's nowhere for it to attach only just be seated so to say

I don't know whats happening to me, but adding one of these badges is starting to appeal to me. Whats the conclusion, if you have the old style 'flat and smooth' type can you retrofit and what do you use for fixing it?

Gonna go see how much they are on ebay now!
