Hello

My name is Max and I live quite close to the nürburgring in germany, where I am also racing in the VLN-championship with a Porsche GT3 Cup.

Besides the Flat6 of our team I also own two Clio RS, which I wanted to show you.

First is my aliengreen RS which I bought new in 2010 and drove roughly 150.000 KM with it before the engine blew up on the track this summer. A new engine is already waiting in our workshop.
It has Eibach-Springs, a Fox-exhaust, several Powerflex-parts, 8x17 Cup-wheels and lower seat mountings. It's my go-to-car if I want to enjoy the Eifel-roads around here

Next year I also want to install a new suspension as well as a CAE-shifter.

The louder/faster/crazier brother of my AG200 is "Nemo", our Ex-VLN-racer that now is waiting for trackday-duties. It has roughly 230hp through an R3-engine, an Öhlins-suspension and wider arches. We also ran a couple of races with a flat floor, a big diffusor and a splitter but it didn't work out the way we hoped it would.

Welcome to the site :french::german: Love both! As above, I'd love more info on the cup racer.

As above, I'd love more info on the cup racer.

Then let's do this

base is obviously a standard cup racer from 2008 that we bought in 2014.
the following things are changed compared to the stock car:

- 100l fuel cell
- nürburgring-spec suspension from Öhlins
- R3-engine (about 230 hp)
- R3-airbox carbon
- slightly different gear ratios
- adjustable anti-roll-bars
- stock brake discs with dixcel-pads
- doors and rear hatch out of light plastic
- race-spec ABS from Bosch

Here is a POV-onboard:

And here is a video from one of my best opening-laps

@bozian thanks! For those of us who are not quite sure, can you clarify the differences between a standard 197/200 f4r engine and the r3-spec engine?

Some great driving skills there. Not sure how that BM missed you near the end of the second video. You'r a bit of a sitting duck for straight-line-speed cars like the BM on that long straight.

Hello and welcome Max. Nice to see you over here, too. Some of our guys (like the other Max or Raphael) or also registered here already.

You should have told them what kind of new engine you got as replacement and also attached a photo of it. Besides that I bet the guys and girls here would also appreciate if you'd show them what else you were and are racing.

@Sean197: The R3 engine should be the same as the normal one except for it having tougher connecting-rod bolts. That's at least what a certain person - *cough, cough* - told me about the differences of a CUP engine compared to a normal one. My guess is that the important differences are actually related to the in- and outlet side (R3 airbox and manifold). I'm sure Max will cast some more light on this soon.

Alright, let's do this.

Here is an image of my new engine that I will pick up in january at my friends from Madeno Racing

It is a completeley new and never used cup-engine, it was a spare part from their racing team. They renewed all sealings for me and now it is ready to be fitted

Regarding the other cars I am / was racing, here are some pics:

This is our car for 2019 which we also raced for three events this season. It's a Porsche 991.2 GT3 Cup. I also have an onboard-video for you

KTM X-Bow GT4. This was our car in 2017 and I also drove it at the 24h-race in 2018 where I finished 26th overall with Johannes Stuck, Ferdinand Stuck and Volker Strycek as team colleagues.

The Seat was the car we got after the clio, but we sold it in 2017. It was the first TCR-car that was ever driven on the nordschleife.

The R3 Maxi engine (230hp) internally also has bigger cams (298in/292ex duration and 11mm lift), high comp 12:1 pistons, and Meg 230 injectors.
There is also an R3 Maxi Evo (250hp) which has bigger cams again (not sure on duration but will also be 11mm lift due to regs), different crank (90mm stroke), different pistons (still 12:1 but 84mm bore, giving 1995cc with the stroke), steel rods (150mm), solid lifters, different inlet valves (probably bigger, have never found out for sure) - both engine variants will need headwork to hit the numbers; 230spec just needs mild work to the exhaust side, 250 spec will need both sides porting.
