Very happy with the results, such a better looking unit!

I did not bother with upgrading the bulbs as I think the standard which came with the headlights do the job just fine!

Went out for a nice drive around Trough of Bowland, if anyone has been on this drive you will understand how many great roads you come across! its a great route to take - recommend it at night.

The 197 was a great match for my friends GT86 and the red MX-5 is a home brewed turbo build pushing 240bhp.
-even on these kind of trips/drives I helps me calculate what needs doing to enhance its characteristics.
For now everything seems spot on, the brakes were amazing for the driving we were doing and not once did they knock my confidence or leave me with doubt.

funnily enough the turbo mx-5 has a 197 brake set up and he loves them!

I am currently running the tyres that came with the car and they are SA-07 Westlakes - I KNOW, COMPLETE DITCHFINDERS.

I am very excited to go through this set and buy some tyres worth talking about haha. for now, in the dry they do everything I could ask for.

Update after driving the car for 3k miles...

I park down the side of my driveway so when I cold start the car it is rather loud and exadurates the engine/exhaust noise. I've noticed a blow coming from the front of the car, so back of the engine... I was hoping it wasn't a crack in the manifold but luckily under inspection it was just a flexi which I now understand is a common fault on these cars.

So I put to it and sent it to the local exhaust shop and they welded a new Flexi in place. Whist they were in the area I gave them a scorpion decat pipe to install [emoji4]

I have noticed a difference with the decat and that notice is purely the flat spot which I think was hugely exadurated by the exhaust blow.

Get the ling long ditchfinders off asap. New tyres and a brake refresh will turn it into a completely different animal of a car I can assure you of that. Get it down to EFI or RS Tuning and get a map on it, that’ll take it up several notches too.

Haha i will be in time, I'm not throwing a way some good tread though, I do daily this car 60 miles a day so it would be a waste.

I am going to be replacing the rear discs and pads next month so ill have to search the market for a good replacement.

New steering wheel from 'Royalsteeringwheels' as the old one was soooooooo tatty it was upsetting me every time I drove the car!

I opted for the black alcantara supported with yellow stitching. I love the results!
