Dumdums RS200 cup

So when I first picked the car up it had an odd patch of condensation on the rear quarter window, odd but it went on the trip back and was never seen again... then it got hot, now it’s rained and water has collected the scuttle drains were blocked and the passenger side floor pan has filled up, random hazard lights flashing at will 
so today I’ve pulled the carpet up, wet vac’d anything I could wetvac and now I have a lump of foam and a floor mat in the office at work drying as I type
Also made two 1/8” holes in a floor grommet in the lowest point of the floor pan I could see, will seal those up later!
Also in a bizarre twist, I suspect my flexis are blowing so I have two of those in stock ready for me to cut out and weld in again it does actually rain and it pours (into the cabin in my experience )

Used to French stuff after 10+ years on Peugeot’s! I’ve seen it all!Got to love owning a Renault
comes in handy for electrical work though! 
So I set about the cruise control stalk emulating effort... see that big blank area under the indicator stalk, well it’s big enough for four press to make switches and a few resistors on the back, once I’d made sure it was correct resistance wise I hot glued the lot for vibration resistance apparantly on some cars it works without programming so we shall see, I shorted the limiter/cruise switch plug out so cruise is always on, if it works I’ll buy a proper switch for 38 quid from my local stealers so I can have a limiter aswell (although display may be handy for that so I know where it’s set to I reckon )I shall report back if it works! Sits nice to the finger tips for faster and slower
It only bloody works!! cost... nothing to me as we have all the switches/resistors in stock at work, but under a tenner in bits I reckon! Piece of cake to build too! Took me an hr to dig everything out and build it...

I’m an auto electrician by day so to me that’s like wiring a plug up to most people
if I can make a car run with no keys, make lights flash, sirens go, central locking lock... four buttons and five resistors (had no 200ohm but loads of 100ohm efforts) and a bit of wire definitely isn’t a problem No problem with the diagrams but just asking why do it that way could you have replaced the airbag for the cruise control button one and fitted the factory cruse controls or are you going to fit an aftermarket steering wheel. Good going anyway I have some upgrades planned.
1. Auto headlights / rain sensors (done)
2. Climate control (getting the last of the parts tomorrow)
3. Cornering Lights (nothing yet just the projector headlights fitted)
4. Genuine GT / Spoiler (getting painted Nimbus grey)
5. Genuine Recaro Leather seats the raider/ 265 megane type (Got the trims nearly brand new just getting new foams to leave it right.)

My logic is as follows... Mainly because of all the parts you listed, either solder onto the clock spring as pathway is there apparantly but not wired... or swap the whole clock spring/comm unit for a ff one with the clock spring wires, then buy switches and a different airbag... or just do this and it’s free as it’s cost me nothing, plus I love a bit of diy and where the switches sit is actually really nice to get at both in use and to drill and populate... and I think it looks quite pretty
worst case was it didn’t work and I get a basic 1.2 indicator switch from eBay or breakers, I reckon the clock spring, air bag and switches would be 100 quid in total and may or may not have worked without reprogramming (clearly I know it does now... but heyho... it does still need programming for dash to indicate its on though) 
Right I get you the cup steering column hasn't got the wiring to pass through cruise control wire connectors I was focused on the steering wheel and the ability to retro fit the factory buttons.
So now I’ve decided to do something about the wheels as it’s getting decidedly dicey knocking about on the yokos! Brought them into work while it's quiet and attacked them!
First job, mist coat of black spray paint
Then use my electric DA from B&Q Ive had since car audio days with 120 grit disc on, knock back to reveal the scars, it just makes it far, far easier to find imperfections!
Now apply filler so all the imperfections are covered
I also used a dremel on slow speed with a 1cm across drum type sanding head to do the bolt holes and remove the blisters of corroded paint/aluminium oxide that seems to gather in the water trap area at the very bottom corners, seemed to work a treat and far easier than any other method I’ve tried! Makes a proper easy job! It’s great having a workshop with various tools and gadgets about
