Trackspec Clio 197

Sorry I was on about the Carbon footplate I thought that’s what Fishfart meant too but just seen he said throttle plate :flushed:

No worries. The Clio false floor is a pain to work with unlike other cars I’ve fitted these to in the past. I made some alloy spacers to fit between the tray and the floor to support it. Without the supports they would simply flex or crack with stress.

They were purchased from CM Composites.

The throttle pedal was purchased off Facebook through one of the Clio pages.

That 30k Focus wasn’t getting away at all was he :grinning:

Did you put the floor plate on top of the raised arm on the floor then support the rest or is it all higher than the arm.

Really gets through the ratios quick. That’s gotta be a Clio box?

That’s right Ben. Excellent combination in my opinion. Really keeps it on the boil the whole time.

Haha no chance. That’s right. The bulk of the weight is supported by the box section then the edges are supported with spacers made from alloy tube with a bolt running through and into a rivnut in the floor.

Ok sounds good. I wasn’t sure if that box section was too low but I’ll give it a try

I thought that mate and when I fitted the old trays in place they were around 20-30mm higher but actually that was too high and made it difficult to heal and toe. Mounting on the box section is so much better for driving now.

Time for some new tyres... started to delaminate through the middle. I do like to get my money’s worth. They lasted 1 and a 1/2 track days lol.

Picked these up real cheap off a friend of mine. They will look exceptionally awful on the car but ideal as a set of spares.

Have refitted the inlet manifold with a brand new gasket since the last one started to weep.

Next on the list revise the fuel system, full service, winter strip down and full inspection.

More modifications are on the way too...

If you want to use a return and the reg in the 250 fuel rail you'll need a bigger reg in the tank, Matt. Which is the correct way of doing it. Can go up to 300bhp on std injectors with this set up.
