Meg Recaros in Clio

Hey guys,
Have done much hunting but it seems like nobody has documented this dilemma.....

I have a Clio 200 Cup with the factory Yellow Dot recaro's installed. I'm just about to pull the trigger on a set of leather ones from a Meg 3 as these opportunities dont come by everyday. However does anyone have any feedback on the fitment and wiring ?

From what i've read the fitment should be a straight swap. As for the wiring, seems like most of the retrofits are to Clio 3's which dont have Recaros from factory which therefore requires some fiddling with the cables etc...

Some suggested to just swap the fabrics over, which makes sense. However i'm guessing this is also a fair bit of effort.

Any other thoughts out there ??

You're right, the conversion for any Recaro to a standard seat Clio does require a bit of fiddling. I don't see why it wouldn't be a straight swap, but I'm no expert.
There's this guide here which may be of some use. However, if they're a very good price then you'll likely be able to sell them on again.

If you do end up having to swap the covers, these guides might help;

They will go up for sale but I'm guessing they're no good to you guys in Europe as I'm in the land down under....

Yes that could be a problem :smile:
Good luck fitting the megs in love to see some pics after

As far as I am aware the back and seat base is standard Recaro Sportster which should be universal. The subframes may be different, but you should be able to swap the back and seatbase over and voila.

I have been interested in getting a left hand drive Clio subframe from the passenger side as its fixed and lighter than the drivers side, then using that on my drivers seat.
