Clio 197 Track/ Race Car Build

HI. Doing exactly the same as you. rear and front of cage are in the car, but the 4 floor plates not yet welded. Do you have better pics of how much of the original front bar you had to chop out (not the cage bar, the bar originally on the car that the steering column connects to)?

More weight saving and a general tidy up with all unwanted wirring.

Loom stripped & cut back. All wire that is no-longer needed, i.e rear wiper, heated rear window etc...

please vcould you let me know what u left in (wire) wise as iv done mine the same but think iv more

I've just purchased this vehicle i believe i'm the 2nd owner to have it after it was built by the owner of this thread..

I'm not 100% sure but it has now been widened on the front end i'm not fully knowledgeable in the Renault world as i was a vauxhall guy but i have to admit this car is a different league im booked to hit brands on a evening track day on the 16th! if the owner of this thread see's this please drop me a PM !

Maybe cup racer wheels / front end? I think overall the cup racer is wider up front than the road cars

Revive the thread bud keep it going

I owned this after Alex and have now sold it on to Jacob
It’s running full cup racer front end, subframe, EE brackets, longer shafts etc
So it’s wider and can run a lot more camber

Hi Guys,

Just thought i'd update this thread i'm currently the new owner of this vehicle i purchased this car from Danny Addison, I'm now the third owner since it was built. Unfortunately during a track day at brands hatch back in Feb the vehicle was side impacted by a caterham causing rear quarter damage.

Car went in for repair and full respray at the start of August and i'm due to receive it back in the coming weeks. since ownership i can't explain how much of a well built car this is. since Alex sold this vehicle to Danny he has installed a Gripper diff with a full TL4 Rebuild, New Clutch, CUP Racer sub frame with extended EE Brackets and much more. I have some plans for the car starting with maintenance, the NITRON R3's where rebuilt just had purchasing the car along with fitting a oil cooler kit. I have future plans for some throttle bodies and engine bits, i'll be sure to update this thread.
